The wilderness is already challenging. Walking through it in the dark without protection is even worse.
You need guidance. You need protection.
The question is not whether we will face the wilderness but who is protecting us in the wilderness?
The One who brought us in the wilderness will also protect us in the wilderness.
God walks with us through the darkness.
By day God was a pillar of cloud for the Israelites as guidance on where to go and by night He was a pillar of fire as protection in the night.
Without light, the Israelites could not move, could not see, could not survive.
When God gives light He gives direction, protection, and life.
God is not the light at the end of the tunnel but He is the light for every step of the way.
Israel faced dangers such as the Pharaoh's army and the wilderness itself yet God never abandoned them.
The same God who protected Israel is the same God who protects us today.
The battle is real but so is our defender, Jesus Christ. The Lord who fought for Israel is revealed fully in Him, the Good Shepherd that lays down His life for the sheep.
God never promised a life without danger, but He promised that His people would never face danger alone.
God protects us from death.
The greatest enemy the Israelites faced was not Pharaoh but it was death. And God preserved Israel again and again.
The same God that saved Israel from death is the same God who sent His son to save us from death. Jesus saves us today and forever.
Because Jesus conquered death, our future is secure and our hope is alive. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow.
If God is your Protector. π‘οΈ
You will not be lost in the darkness.
You will not be defeated by danger.
You will not be claimed by death.
Blessings in the Wilderness (Part 3)
