Ang Pasko ay hindi nagsimula sa perpekto. Nagsimula ito sa isang sabsaban — tahimik, simple, at hindi pinapansin. At doon natin makikita ang puso ng Diyos: pumapasok Siya kahit sa mga lugar na feeling natin wala tayong halaga.

Hindi hinintay ng Diyos na ayusin muna natin ang buhay natin bago Siya lumapit. Dumating si Jesus habang magulo pa ang mundo. Ibig sabihin, kahit broken ka, confused, o pagod — karapat-dapat ka pa ring mahalin ng Diyos.

Sa mundong puno ng pressure, likes, at validation, ang Pasko ay paalala na hindi mo kailangang patunayan ang sarili mo para mahalin ka. Si Jesus ay Emmanuel — Diyos na kasama natin. Hindi lang Siya Diyos sa langit, kundi Diyos na nandito sa tunay na buhay natin.

Ang Pasko ay hindi lang tungkol sa regalo — ito ay tungkol sa pag-asa. Pag-asa na may ilaw pa rin kahit madilim ang season mo. Pag-asa na may Diyos na nagsasabing: "Kasama mo Ako.”
