“It doesn’t make sense, Lord…”

It doesn’t make sense that You have chosen someone like me to be Your servant.🥺

It doesn’t make sense that You chose someone broken.😭

It doesn’t make sense that You could have chosen the best, the skilled, and the capable.🙁

It doesn’t make sense that You have chosen the worst of sinners.😣

You could have chosen someone more confident.😫
Someone more gifted.😟
Someone with a better story.😕

Someone who seems more qualified.🥹

Yet, You still called me.❤️

You still gave me a purpose.💯

You still trusted me with a calling.🙌🏻💪🏻🫶🏻

Just like Paul, who once persecuted Your church, could boldly say:

“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.”
— 1 Timothy 1:15💙

Because Your calling has never been about how qualified I am, but about how faithful You are.🙌🏻
It has never been about my strength, but about Your grace.💯
It has never been about what I can do for You, but what You can do through a surrendered life.🙏🏻🫶🏻

And Lord, even when I cannot understand why You chose me…

I will simply say, “Yes.”🥹

Heavenly Father, we lift up every teacher, student, parent, and school across the Philippines. With the troubling incidents happening around us, we humbly ask You to surround our schools with Your protection.

Lord, keep every student and teacher safe from violence, danger, and harm. Give school administrators and authorities wisdom to respond quickly and responsibly to situations that may threaten the safety of others.

Please guide parents to watch over their children, teach them what is right, and listen to what they are going through. Guide our young people to make wise decisions and keep them away from choices that could harm themselves or others.

May our schools remain places of learning, peace, respect, and safety. Watch over every classroom and every family, Lord.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

🙏SATURDAY DEVOTION🙏

“It’s Just a Matter of Perspective”

📝Matthew 27:46. Nang mga alas tres ng hapon, sumigaw si Jesus, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” na ang ibig sabihin ay, “Diyos ko, Diyos ko, bakit mo ako pinabayaan?”🙏🏻

Lesson: Dumating din ba tayo sa point na nag-question tayo sa Lord? Kasi feeling natin na unfair ang mundo, na parang hindi sa atin umaayon ang sitwasyon, at ang feeling natin ay pinabayaan na tayo ni Lord.🥺
Have we been in this kind of situation before? Have we questioned God before?
Kung magfo-focus tayo sa verse na ito, maiisip natin: Bakit parang kino-question ni Jesus ang Ama na nasa langit? Bakit niya sinabi na, “Bakit mo ako pinabayaan?” at hinayaan
siyang mamatay sa ganoong sitwasyon?🥺

Well, if we’re going to look at another passage, Lucas 23:46 says, “Sumigaw nang malakas si Jesus, ‘Ama, sa kamay mo’y pinagkakatiwala ko ang aking espiritu.’” Pagkasabi nito, nalagot ang kanyang hininga.📝
Jesus did not question God; instead, He surrendered His spirit to Him.🫶🏻💯🙏🏻🙌🏻
This is just a matter of perspective.💯
Sa buhay natin, hindi tayo exempted sa mga pagsubok. But instead of focusing on the problem, why don’t we just focus our eyes on God? Maybe He won’t change our situation, but He can change the way we see it.🫶🏻📝💯

Instead of questioning God, why don’t we just surrender everything to Him?🧐
Surely, Jesus did not question God because He already knew what was going to happen from the very beginning. God Himself did not abandon us just because we are in a difficult situation.
Ang gusto lang ni Lord ay matutunan natin ang ginawa ni Jesus: “Ama, katulad ni Jesus, kahit mahirap, masakit, nakakapagod, at nakakatakot, ibinibigay ko ang buhay ko sa Iyo. Ipinagkakatiwala ko ito sa Iyo. Susundin ko ang kalooban Mo.”🫶🏻❤

Life may be difficult sometimes, but God is good all the time.😊🙏🏻🙌🏻

WHAT IF YOU HAVE EVERYTHING, BUT LOSE WHAT MATTERS MOST?🥺

“For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
— Mark 8:36🙏🏻

Paano kung makuha mo na ang lahat ng gusto mo—
your dreams, success, money, recognition🙁
pero sa proseso, mawala naman ang presensya ng Diyos?

What if you finally reach the place you prayed for,
but you no longer recognize the God who brought you there?🥺

Hindi lahat ng gusto nating makuha ay worth it kung kapalit naman nito ang presensya ng Diyos.💯

Because the greatest blessing is not the destination.
It is having God with us along the way.🙏🏻💯🫶🏻

Kaya gaya ni Moses, sana ganito rin ang prayer natin:

“If Your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.”
— Exodus 33:15🙏🏻📝

Lord, I would rather have less with You
than have everything without You.🥺

I don’t want to gain the world and lose my soul.🙌🏻
I don’t want to reach the destination and lose Your presence.🙌🏻

Kung wala Ka, Lord, huwag na lang.
Because wherever You are, that is where I want to be.🙌🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻

JESUS BE THE CENTER🙌🏻😭🙏🏻

What happened in Zamboanga reminds us of something we should never take for granted: our campuses need Jesus.

Our schools need more than security.🙏🏻
They need more than rules.🙏🏻
They need more than academic excellence.🙏🏻

They need Jesus at the center.❤️

Because our campuses are filled with young people who are searching for identity, dealing with pain, carrying struggles, and making decisions that can affect the rest of their lives.

May our schools become places where:
peace is taught,
kindness is practiced,
broken hearts are seen,
forgiveness is encouraged,
and Jesus is made known.

We pray for the students, teachers, families, and everyone affected by the tragedy in Zamboanga.

May God bring comfort to those who are grieving, healing to those who are hurting, and wisdom to those who lead our schools.

And may we never forget:

Jesus is not only needed inside our churches.
Jesus is needed inside our campuses.
Jesus is needed wherever young lives are being shaped.

“Let all that you do be done in love.”

Jesus, be the center of our schools.

“𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝”

We give without expecting something in return.
We love, even when it is difficult to love.
We forgive, even when we have been hurt.
We serve, even when no one notices.

Sometimes, we get tired.
Sometimes, we feel unappreciated.
Sometimes, we wonder if what we do even matters.

But we continue.

And do you know why it is 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞?

Because we are not ultimately serving people...
𝑾𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅.

So keep serving!!!
