Into the deepest wounds of our hearts and breaking the chains of past mistakes. What once felt like shame, fear, and hopelessness was surrendered at the feet of the Lord, where mercy replaced guilt and grace restored broken hearts.

Our hearts are still resting in the peace of tonightโ€™s Parish Youth Taizรฉ Prayer. It was a beautiful evening of letting go, breathing in His grace, and finding stillness amidst the noise of the world.

The Epiphany of Our Lord Co-Cathedral Parish will be holding the ๐Œ๐€๐‘๐‚๐‡ ๐Ž๐… ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐‡๐„๐‘๐Ž๐„๐’ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” on February 25, 2026.

This meaningful event aims to provide an opportunity for our parish community to celebrate joyfully as participants portray their chosen hero or bayani โ€” individuals who embody courage, sacrifice, leadership, and love of faith and country.

We warmly invite all parish ministries and organizations to take part in this celebration. More than a creative showcase, this activity calls us to reflect deeply on the virtues of our chosen heroes and strive to live them out in our daily lives โ€” through service, integrity, and steadfast faith.

As we commemorate four decades since EDSA, we remember that the true strength of a nation lies in its people โ€” united in prayer, guided by conscience, and courageous in standing for truth.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent in the Catholic Church. It is a day of prayer, fasting, and repentance.

On this day, Catholics receive ashes on their foreheads in the sign of the cross. The ashes, made from the burned palms of the previous Palm Sunday, symbolize repentance, humility, and our human mortality. As the priest applies the ashes, he says:
"Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return" (Genesis 3:19)
or
"Repent, and believe in the Gospel" (Mark 1:15).

Ash Wednesday reminds us to turn away from sin and prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.

Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent, a season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving in which we climb the holy mountain of Easter and prepare ourselves to renew our Baptismal Promises. Join us at the Co-Cathedral as we begin our Lenten journey through Holy Mass and the Imposition of Ashes at 6:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 5:00 PM.

Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday, also known as Fat Tuesday or Pancake Day. It is the final day before the fasting season of Lent leading up to Easter.
The word โ€œshroveโ€ comes from โ€œshrive,โ€ meaning to confess oneโ€™s sins and receive absolution. Traditionally, this day is observed through confession and absolution, spiritual preparation, and in some places, the ritual burning of the previous yearโ€™s blessed palms to prepare ashes for Ash Wednesday.
It is also a time when people finalize their Lenten sacrifices and, in many Christian cultures, enjoy simple festive foods like pancakes and sweets before the penitential season begins.
Above all, Shrove Tuesday invites us to prepare our hearts for Lent.
