Tonightโs message reminded us of something we often forgetโwe are not here by accident. God has placed each of us where we are for a reason, and He has given us unique spiritual gifts to use for His purpose.
In 1 Corinthians 12:4โ7, we are reminded that
That means every single one of us has something to offer. No one is empty. No one is useless. God has given each of us a role to play.
Sometimes we compare ourselves to others and feel like what we have isnโt enough. But tonight reminded us that God doesnโt ask us to be someone elseโHe asks us to use what He already gave us. Whether itโs serving, encouraging, leading, helping, or simply being there for someone, every gift matters when it is used for Godโs glory.
But hereโs the challenge: gifts are not meant to stay hidden. They are meant to be used. If we donโt use them, we miss the purpose God has for us, and we also miss the chance to bless others.
As Ellen G. White wrote in Christ's Object Lessons (p. 327):
โAll men do not receive the same gifts, but to every servant of the Master some gift of the Spirit is promised.โ
This reminds us that everyone has a gift, and God expects us to use itโnot for ourselves, but to serve others and build His kingdom.
Spiritual gifts are not about recognition or being seen. They are about service, humility, and obedience. They grow stronger when we use them and become more meaningful when we use them with love.
Tonight also reminded us that discovering our gifts takes time. It takes prayer, willingness, and stepping out of our comfort zone. Sometimes, we wonโt fully understand our purpose until we actually start serving.
So the question is:
Are we using what God has given us? Or are we keeping it hidden?
Let this be a reminder for all of usโnot just to discover our gifts, but to put them into action.
Because in the end, itโs not about how many gifts we have, itโs about how willing we are to use them for God.
