POSITION LETTER
Regarding the Unauthorized Use of Heartbeat International Missions in a Political Manifesto

To Whom It May Concern,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This letter serves as the official position of Heartbeat International Missions regarding the recent unauthorized inclusion and use of our ministry’s name in a manifesto of support for the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines.

Heartbeat International Missions hereby formally declares that:

1. We did not authorize, approve, endorse, or consent to the use of our organization’s name, logo, identity, or representation in any political manifesto, statement, campaign material, or public endorsement related to any political candidate or public official.

2. Heartbeat International Missions is a Gospel-centered ministry whose primary mission is the propagation of the Gospel, strengthening of local churches, training of Christian workers, and advancement of missionary endeavors. As such, we maintain our institutional neutrality in partisan political matters unless officially and expressly declared by the leadership of the organization.

3. The unauthorized use of our ministry’s name constitutes misrepresentation and creates false impressions regarding our organizational stance, thereby potentially damaging our testimony, credibility, and relationships with churches, supporters, missionaries, and ministry partners.

Therefore, we respectfully but firmly request:

* The immediate removal of Heartbeat International Missions from all related manifestos, publications, online posts, printed materials, or promotional content connected to said political support statement.
* A public clarification from the responsible parties acknowledging that Heartbeat International Missions did not authorize nor participate in such endorsement.

Heartbeat International Missions believes in praying for those in authority, as commanded in Scripture (1 Timothy 2:1–2), and in encouraging biblical citizenship among believers. However, we remain committed to preserving the integrity, neutrality, and testimony of this ministry in matters of partisan political endorsement unless expressly determined by our leadership.

We trust this matter will be addressed promptly and honorably.

Respectfully submitted,

Dr. Ramil Q. Ofrecio

How Far Have Christian Churches Drifted Away from God?

Throughout history, God’s people have always faced the danger of drifting away from Him. The Bible repeatedly warns that spiritual decline can happen even among those who once stood firmly for truth. Sadly, in many places today, we are witnessing churches slowly moving away from God, His Word, and His holiness.

1. When God’s Word Is No Longer the Authority

A church begins to drift when the Bible is no longer its final authority. Instead of preaching the whole counsel of God, many churches today avoid difficult truths such as sin, repentance, judgment, and holiness.

The apostle Paul the Apostle warned this would happen:

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.”
— 2 Timothy 4:3 (KJV)

Many churches now focus more on motivational messages, entertainment, and personal success rather than the clear preaching of Scripture.

2. Worship Has Become Entertainment

In many places, worship services have been transformed into performances. Dark stages, flashing lights, and musical bands often replace reverent worship.

Instead of drawing attention to God, the focus often shifts to the stage. The danger is that people may leave entertained but not spiritually changed.

True worship is not about emotional excitement but about honoring God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

3. Holiness Is Rarely Preached

Another sign of drifting is when churches stop preaching about holy living. Topics such as modesty, purity, and separation from worldly practices are often avoided because they may offend people.

Yet the Bible clearly commands believers:

“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.”
— 1 Peter 1:15

When holiness disappears from the pulpit, worldliness quickly fills the pews.

4. The Gospel Is Being Diluted

Perhaps the most serious drift is the weakening of the gospel message itself. The true gospel calls sinners to repentance and faith in Christ.

Yet many churches now preach a softened message that emphasizes acceptance without repentance.

But salvation is found only through Jesus Christ. The Bible declares:

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
— Acts 4:12

When the gospel is diluted, churches may grow in numbers but lose their spiritual power.

5. Churches Seek the World’s Approval

Many churches today seek acceptance from the world rather than faithfulness to God. Instead of standing firmly on biblical truth, they adjust their teachings to align with modern culture.

But friendship with the world comes at a great cost. The Bible warns:

“Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?”
— James 4:4

A church that tries to please the world will eventually lose its testimony for Christ.

A Warning from Scripture

Even in the first century, churches were warned about falling away. In the book of Revelation, Jesus Christ warned the church of Ephesus that they had left their first love (Revelation 2:4).

This shows that spiritual decline can happen slowly and quietly if believers are not watchful.

A Call to Return to God

The solution is not despair but repentance. God always calls His people to return to Him.

Churches must return to:
• The authority of Scripture
• Reverent worship
• Holy living
• Bold preaching of the gospel
• Faithfulness to Christ above all else

If believers humble themselves and seek God again, revival is still possible.

The question we must ask today is not simply how far the world has drifted from God, but how far many churches have drifted as well.

Now more than ever, true Christians must stand firmly for the truth of God’s Word and shine as lights in a darkening world.

“Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
— Luke 18:8

The challenge for our generation is clear: Will we follow the drift, or will we return to God?
