This is a wonderful opportunity for us to gather together, strengthen our faith, and hear and learn from the General Authority Seventy.

"General Authority Seventies are Church leaders called by the First Presidency to be “special witnesses” and to assist the Twelve in “building up the Church and regulating all its affairs” and in “preaching and administering the gospel” throughout the world (Doctrine and Covenants 107:25, 34, 38)."

✨ Liloan 2nd Ward Youth @ Liloan Stake Youth Temple Trip ✨

Last April 18, 2026, the Liloan 2nd Ward Youths had a truly unforgettable and spirit-filled experience as they attended the Stake Youth Temple Trip at the Cebu Philippines Temple.

From performing sacred ordinances inside the temple—helping their ancestors receive the blessings of the gospel—to feeling the peace and purpose that comes from serving others, each youth had the opportunity to deepen their testimony and strengthen their connection with Heavenly Father.

The journey didn’t end there! Through inspiring workshops led by FSY staff and Stake Youth leaders, the youth learned valuable principles about faith, discipleship, and making sure that they are reminded about how sacred their bodies are. These moments of learning brought new insights and a renewed desire to live the gospel more fully.

They also had the privilege of visiting the Global Education Center through BYU–Pathway Worldwide – Cebu Education Center, where they explored opportunities for education, growth, and future preparation. The experience opened their eyes to how they can continue learning and progressing while staying grounded in their faith.

This temple trip was not just an event—it was a meaningful step forward in their spiritual journey.

LILOAN 2ND WARD CONDUCTS HOME EVENING

Members of the ward gathered for a joyful and spirit-filled Home Evening, strengthening bonds of unity and love. The evening was enriched by the presence of many who came together in fellowship, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Inspired learnings from the missionaries centered on the importance of being one, reminding everyone of the power of unity in faith. Bishop Sugarol also shared a meaningful message about the ward being a family, encouraging members to support one another as they progress along the covenant path.

Laughter and excitement filled the gathering as the YSAs facilitated fun and engaging games, bringing smiles to everyone present. The night was made even more special with a delightful spread of food, both lovingly prepared and shared through potluck.

Moments like these remind us of the joy that comes from gathering together, uplifting one another, and building lasting connections. We warmly invite everyone to join our future Home Evenings—come and be part of the fun, the faith, and the family!

Introducing the New Liloan 2nd Ward Official Messenger Community!

Warm greetings, brothers and sisters!

To better serve our growing ward and keep our communication organized, we are excited to launch the Liloan 2nd Ward Official Messenger Community.

Why are we moving to a "Community"?
As our ward grows, a single group chat can often become overwhelming with many messages at once. This new Community format allows us to stay organized by having separate "Channels" for different needs (such as Announcements, Youth, Elders Quorum/Relief Society, Primary, and others).

What happens to our old group chat?
Please rest assured: The old group chat is NOT going away. We understand many of our memories and casual conversations happen there. It will remain active for social interaction and general fellowship.

The Benefits of Joining the New Community:
Focused Communication: You can choose which channels to follow. If you only want to see ward-wide announcements, you can mute the others.
No More "Chat Noise": By separating topics, we avoid "unnecessary chats" in the main thread. This ensures that urgent or sacred information doesn't get lost in a sea of casual messages.
Focus on What Matters: Our goal is to ensure that every member receives the right information at the right time—whether it’s a Sunday schedule change, a funeral notice, or a ward activity—without your phone buzzing constantly for unrelated topics.

Two years ago, Elder Mades left with a heart full of faith; today, he returns with a soul full of stories, miracles, and lives forever changed. Serving in the Philippines Butuan and Davao Missions, he has been the hands and feet of the Lord. We couldn't be prouder of the man he has become and the light he has shared.

President Torralba set apart Elder Bacatan of the Liloan 2nd Ward last Thursday as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is currently at the Philippines Missionary Training Center, where he has begun preparing to serve in the Philippines Cagayan de Oro Mission.

Prior to his missionary service, Elder Bacatan faithfully served as a ward Ministering Adviser Assistant, supporting the Elders Quorum Presidency and the Bishopric in coordinating ministering assignments and interviews. Through this calling, he deepened his understanding of Christlike service and the sacred responsibility of ministering to God’s children. He also experienced the blessings that come from devoted priesthood service, helping prepare him to fully commit to the work of sharing the gospel.

We express our love and full support for Elder Bacatan as he serves the Lord and His children in the Philippines Cagayan de Oro Mission.

Serve well and return with honor.

President Torralba set apart Elder Pepito of the Liloan 2nd Ward last Thursday as a full-time missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is now at the Philippines Missionary Training Center, where he has begun his preparation to serve in the Philippines Cagayan De Oro Mission.

Elder Pepito has faithfully served as a ward missionary, assisting both the members and the full-time missionaries in strengthening faith and deepening conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ. He also completed the seminary program, which helped strengthen his knowledge of the gospel and his testimony of the Savior. Through his active participation in the Church, he developed the spiritual confidence and desire to serve a mission and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We love and fully support Elder Pepito as he serves the Lord and His children in the Philippines Cagayan De Oro Mission.
