Rise Up and Shine Youth of Fatima

VIVA! MAMA MARIA! 🌸 | The Fatima Youth joyfully took part in the Santacruzan 2025 held on May 31, 2025, at Saint Ignatius of Loyola Parish, Poblacion, Liloan, Southern Leyte. This celebration marked Part II of the Flores de Mayo culmination, bringing together the faithful in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The celebration begin with a Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Van O. Cabug-os, serving as the Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. Simultaneously, Santacruzan 2025 took place, featuring Queens representing the various titles of Our Lady, each bearing elegant umbrellas and arcos. Meanwhile, Our Lady of Fatima Chapel was proudly represented by Xiannie Pequero who is Queen Esther, who portrayed one of the titles of Our Lady in the Santacruzan procession—gracing the event with faith, beauty, and devotion which was escorted by Kent Lawrence Mondala.

We are deeply thankful to everyone who supported and joined this meaningful celebration—bringing joy to our communities and glory to our Lord and His Most Blessed Mother.

Culmination of Flores De Mayo: Part 1

We joyfully conclude this year’s Flores de Mayo in honor of Birhen sa Fatima, our beloved patroness and guiding light. Through each flower offered and prayer whispered, we felt her motherly love blossom in our barangay.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated summer youth catechists who patiently and lovingly shared the faith with our children day by day. Your service is a true reflection of Mary’s heart.

We are also deeply grateful to our generous sponsors for providing snacks and to every hand and heart who helped make this meaningful celebration possible.

May the spirit of unity, faith, and devotion continue to flourish in our community under the mantle of Our Lady of Fatima. 🌿🙏

Today, we honor Our Lady of Fatima, a beloved title of Mary, the Mother of God, rooted in the miraculous apparitions witnessed by three humble shepherd children in Fátima, Portugal in 1917 — Lúcia dos Santos and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto.

At Cova da Iria, Our Lady called the world to prayer, penance, and peace. Her message continues to echo through generations as a source of hope and conversion.

🙏 May we, like the children of Fatima, open our hearts to Mary’s call and walk more closely with Christ.

The Cardinals gathered in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel have elected Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost as the 267th Pope, who took the name Pope Leo XIV.

PREVOST IS POPE! 🙏🏼

Robert Francis Prevost is the new pope of the Roman Catholic Church.

He will be known as Pope Leo XIV.

A joyful start to a beautiful tradition! Today, our children were oriented for this month-long celebration of faith, flowers, and fellowship. From prayers to activities, laughter filled the chapel grounds as the little ones joined with bright smiles and eager hearts. 💐✨

On this Good Friday, April 18, 2025, at the break of dawn, the faithful of Our Lady of Fatima Chapel — young and old — walked the streets of Barangay Fatima to reflect on the Passion of Christ through the Via Crucis or Stations of the Cross.

With every step, prayer, and pause, we remembered His sacrifice and embraced the message of love, mercy, and redemption.

As we journey through Lent, may we continue to walk with Christ, carrying our own crosses in faith, hope, and unwavering devotion.

𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐙𝐄 | After 3 years of hiatus, the Taize activity is back again at Fatima Chapel! 🌟

Our Cluster 3 with a participating youth ministry from Fatima, New Malangza, and San Roque, the Taize Event was a success! The heart of our community united in prayer, reflection, and gratitude during a meaningful evening. Each participant experienced the light of the spirit and the significance of being part of the Taize gathering.
