Every last Sunday of the month, our ALC family gathers to celebrate God's Word, share a fellowship meal, and rejoice in the blessing of being together as brothers and sisters in Christ. What a joy it is to worship, grow, and encourage one another in His love!

From learning about the miracle where Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding at Cana to enjoying games and crafts, our hearts are so full. The kids had an amazing time with their activities, while our teens dove deeper during their breakout session. Truly a wonderful day of growing closer to God together. โœจ

Today we learned from John 6:1-14 that nothing is impossible when we surrender what we have to God. He doesn't just meet our needs; He overflows them! ๐Ÿฅ–๐ŸŸ So grateful for this community and a faith-filled end to the month. ๐Ÿ’™

Last May 17 was packed with praise, games, snacks, and new friends. Huge thanks to the ALC Youth for teaching and reminding our kids and teens through the story of the Prodigal Son that no matter how far we wander, Godโ€™s grace is always waiting to welcome us home.

Happy Fatherโ€™s Day! ๐Ÿ’™

Today, we celebrate the men who faithfully serve as fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and role models in our families and in our church.

Fathers are often the quiet pillars of the homeโ€”working hard, making sacrifices, offering wisdom, and providing strength when it is needed most. Their love, guidance, and steadfast faith leave a lasting impact on the lives of their children and those around them.

This Sunday, we were blessed to witness a beautiful moment as children shared heartfelt messages of love, gratitude, and appreciation for their fathers. In return, fathers also shared words from their hearts, creating a meaningful exchange that reminded us of the precious gift of family and the importance of expressing our love while we have the opportunity.

As we honor our earthly fathers, we are reminded of our Heavenly Father - the greatest Father of all. His love is unfailing, His grace is abundant, and His faithfulness endures forever. Every good father reflects, in some way, the perfect love and care that God has for His children.

To all the fathers and father figures in our ALC family: thank you for your leadership, your sacrifices, your prayers, and your example of faith.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you, bless your families, and guide you as you walk with Him.

May 3, 2026, was a great finish to our two-day Vacation Bible School! We continued our theme, God Never Leaves Us, by diving into the story of Jonah and the Big Fish. The children learned that even when we make mistakes or try to run away, Godโ€™s mercy follows us everywhere.

In the afternoon, we watched Jesus calm the storm, teaching the kids that we can have peace and faith because He is in control of every situation. From giant fish to stormy seas, Day 2 reminded us that God is always by our side, keeping us safe through it all!

Thatโ€™s a wrap on an incredible start to our two-day Vacation Bible School journey with the theme: "God Never Leaves Us"!

Last May 2, 2026, was officially Day 1 of the VBS, where we celebrated the life-changing truth that God Never Leaves Us. The children spent their morning with Daniel in the Lions' Den, discovering how unshakable courage and faithfulness can carry us through any "den" of fear.

The afternoon was just as powerful as we followed the Life of Joseph, as the children learned about Godโ€™s care and the strength of forgiveness. From the pit to the prison, we saw that God never leaves us. We're so blessed by this amazing first day!

On December 21, 2025, members of the Ascension Lutheran Church (ALC) of Cebu visited Cotcot, Liloan, Cebu to provide bundles of joy to the flood victims.

ALC extends its warm gratitude for the Christmas boxes from the U.S.A. through Phil-Boyd Robertson. Through these acts of kindness, we encouraged the Cotcot flood victims that they are never alone and not to lose hope.
