Happy Blessed Birthday to our dear Chairman of the CBCP-Episcopal Commission on Youth , Most Rev. Marcelino Antonio M. Maralit Jr., D.D. who is also the Bishop of the Diocese of San Pablo. On this grace-filled day, we thank the Lord for the gift of your life, your shepherd’s heart, and your inspiring leadership of the Catholic youth.

Jesus reminds us in today's Gospel: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33). We thank you for being a constant source of Christ’s peace and courage for the youth, especially in times of uncertainty. Your joyful faith reminds us all to "take heart" and trust in the Lord’s victory.

May the Holy Spirit continue to fill you with wisdom, strength, and good health as you guide the young church. Have a joyful and blessed birthday, Bishop Junie!

Ka-SJAP tayo'y magreflect

During the Last Supper, Jesus shared deep mysteries with His disciples. He said He would prepare a place for them and that He is the Way to the Father. But they were confused. The Gospels hold everything needed for holiness, unlocked not by quick reading, but through prayer.

Philip asked, “Master, show us the Father.” Jesus replied, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.” This wasn’t a simple answer, but an invitation into mystery. Like Philip, we often struggle to understand God’s ways—questions about suffering, unanswered prayer, or life’s direction.

God rarely gives direct, immediate answers. Instead, He offers a kernel of truth, inviting us to ponder it. His wisdom unfolds gradually as we open our hearts. The answers come by aligning our will with His through patient prayer. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. United to Him, we find the path.

Today, bring your confusion to the Lord. Don’t be discouraged. Let His Truth sink in slowly. Through prayer and attentiveness, He will reveal Himself and guide you to the Father.

Glorious Lord, Your truth is pure, yet my mind struggles to grasp Your wisdom. Guide me into Your mysteries. Teach me to pray, that I may better comprehend the way to You and to Your Father in Heaven.

Jesus, I trust in You.

Ka-SJAP Youth Let's Reflect on Juan 10:11–18

Alam mo ba kung anong pinakamahirap gawin ngayon? Makinig.

Sa dami ng ingay—
opinions, trends, expectations—

Totoo Siya.

Kilala ka Niya—
hindi lang pangalan mo,
kundi pati sugat mo, pangarap mo, at pinagdadaanan mo.

At kapag sinunod mo Siya,
baka hindi madali ang daan—
pero siguradong hindi ka mawawala.

Ka-SJAP Youth Let's Reflect on Luke 24:13–35 (The Road to Emmaus)

This passage captures a deeply human moment—walking in confusion, disappointment, and quiet grief. The disciples were leaving Jerusalem, carrying the weight of what they thought was a lost hope. They had believed in Jesus Christ, but the crucifixion seemed to end everything.

And yet, something profound happens: Jesus walks with them—but they do not recognize Him.

That alone speaks volumes.
There are moments in life when God is present, walking beside us, explaining things to us even—but we fail to see Him because we are overwhelmed, distracted, or holding onto our own expectations of how things should have turned out.

“Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked to us on the road?”

This line reveals a quiet truth:
Even when they did not recognize Him, their hearts already knew.

Sometimes, faith is like that.
Before clarity comes, before answers arrive, there is already a stirring within us—a sense that God is near, even if we cannot yet name it.

Then comes the turning point:
They recognize Him in the breaking of the bread.

It is not in the grand explanation or the long walk—but in a simple, sacred act. This reminds us that:

God often reveals Himself in the ordinary
The Eucharist (or shared moments of grace) becomes a space of recognition
Presence is understood not just through reason, but through encounter

And immediately after recognizing Him—He vanishes.

Why?
Because at that point, they no longer needed to see Him physically. They already believed.
