Title of the story: Treasure in Heaven
Scripture Passage: Luke 12:13-34
The lesson from this story is that we should not allow greed, material possessions, or worry to control our lives. Jesus taught through the parable of the rich fool that having many possessions does not guarantee a meaningful or secure life, because earthly wealth is temporary. Instead of storing up treasures only for ourselves, we should be “rich toward God” by trusting Him, obeying His Word, being generous, and caring for others. Jesus also reminded His disciples not to worry excessively about food, clothing, or other needs because our Heavenly Father knows what we need. Therefore, we should seek God’s kingdom first, trust His provision, and remember that our greatest treasure is not found in the things we possess but in our relationship with God.
