Our former Financial Officer, now an Aspirant to the Order of Friars Minor (Franciscan), John Francis Buena, was asked how the Ministry helped him in forming his vocation and in answering God’s call.

As a community, let us continue to support and pray for him as he begins this new journey of formation and discernment. May his story inspire more young people to courageously listen to God’s call and respond with faith and generosity.

Let us all pray for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

Pope Leo XIV’s Magnifica Humanitas is the Pontiffs first encyclical that discusses the relationship between humanity and modern technology, especially artificial intelligence. It emphasizes the importance of protecting human dignity, morality, and freedom in a rapidly advancing digital world. The document encourages the ethical use of technology while reminding society that human life and values must always remain at the center of progress.

Today, on Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the birthday of the Holy Catholic Church — the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and Mary and empowered them to boldly proclaim the Gospel to all nations. From fear, the Apostles found courage. From silence, they began preaching. Through the coming of the Holy Spirit, the Church was born and sent forth to continue the mission of Christ in the world.

As Catholics, we profess that the Church is One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic.

The Church is ONE because it has one Founder — Jesus Christ, one faith, one baptism, and one mission to bring all people closer to God despite differences in language, culture, and nation.

The Church is HOLY because Christ Himself is holy, and He continues to sanctify His people through the Sacraments, the Scriptures, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Though its members are sinners, the Church remains holy because it belongs to God.

The Church is CATHOLIC because it is universal — open to all people, in every place and every generation. The Gospel is not only for a chosen few, but for the whole world.

The Church is APOSTOLIC because it was founded upon the Apostles, entrusted by Christ to lead and spread His teachings. Through apostolic succession, this mission continues today through the Pope and the bishops united with him.

May this Pentecost remind us that we are not merely spectators of faith, but living members of the Church called to proclaim Christ through our words, actions, and lives. Come, Holy Spirit, renew the hearts of Your faithful and set the world ablaze with Your love.

Happy Birthday to the Holy Catholic Church! 🕊️🔥

𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬

Pentecost Sunday reminds us of the powerful moment when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and Mary, filling them with courage, wisdom, and faith to proclaim the Gospel to the world. It is known as the birth of the Church — a celebration of God’s living presence that continues to guide and strengthen His people even today.

Just as the Apostles were transformed by the Holy Spirit, may we also allow our hearts to be renewed and set on fire with God’s love. In a world filled with fear, division, and uncertainty, Pentecost calls us to become instruments of peace, hope, compassion, and truth. The Spirit empowers us not only to deepen our faith, but also to serve others with humility and love.

May this Pentecost Sunday inspire us to listen more closely to God’s voice, to remain steadfast in prayer, and to courageously live out our Christian mission each day. Let the fire of the Holy Spirit burn within us, leading us closer to Christ and helping us become witnesses of His mercy and goodness to all.

On this day, we are called not just to be listeners, but missionaries.

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.”

Happy Pentecost Sunday! 🕊️🔥

Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord

Today, we celebrate the glorious Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ into Heaven. As He ascended to the Father, He reminded us that His presence remains with us always through His love, His Word, and the Holy Spirit.

The Ascension is not a farewell, but a promise of hope, mission, and eternal life. May we continue to lift our hearts to Heaven while faithfully carrying His message of love and salvation to the world.

CHURCH NEWS | Could God Be Calling You? Three Signs That May Point to a Calling to the Priesthood

A video shared by Sydney Vocations is encouraging young Catholics to reflect on God’s call to the priesthood through three simple but profound signs of discernment.

In the viral Instagram reel, Fr. Daniele Russo explains that a possible vocation to the priesthood may be recognized through what he calls “the holy nag,” a deep attraction to the sacraments, and an increasing desire to love and serve God’s people.

The “Holy Nag” – Persistent thoughts about becoming a priest that continue over time and do not easily go away.

Attraction to the Sacraments – A deep love for the Mass, confession, and other sacraments, including a desire to one day celebrate them as a priest.

An Increasing Desire to Love and Serve – A growing calling to give one’s life fully to God and to serve His people with a generous and selfless love.

The priest also recalled the words of Pope John Paul II, who taught that “every vocation is fundamentally a call to love.”

The video has resonated with many viewers online, with several expressing that they are now prayerfully discerning a possible vocation to the priesthood after watching the reel.
