Journey to the Center of the Mass
August 2,2026
In preparation for the monthly school Masses, the Parish of St. James the Greater Cathedral gathered Campus Ministry Coordinators for a formation and coordination meeting entitled "Journey to the Center of the Mass."
The formation was facilitated by Deacon Justin Miel Piolino, who delivered an enriching talk on the Sacred Liturgy, focusing on the different parts of the Holy Mass, their spiritual significance, the proper preparation of the altar, and the importance of active, conscious, and reverent participation in the Eucharistic celebration.
The session was followed by an orientation led by Ms. Marines F. Santiago, who discussed the guidelines and preparations for the monthly school Masses. The orientation emphasized coordination, liturgical discipline, and the shared responsibility of schools and the parish in fostering a prayerful and meaningful celebration of the Eucharist.
May this formation deepen our love for the Holy Eucharist and inspire our school communities to celebrate every Mass with reverence, devotion, and active participation. Together, let us journey to the center of the Mass, where we encounter Christ and are sent forth to live out our faith in service to others.
