Meet the Virgin of the Pillar of Libmanan

Pontifically Crowned in 2015, a sign of the Church's recognition of her maternal intercession, she stands upon the pillar, symbol of steadfast faith and God’s abiding presence.

She holds the Child Jesus, who gently clings to her mantle, reminding us that even the Son entrusts Himself to His Mother, inviting us to do the same.

The image of Our Lady in Libmanan is also distinguished by her iconic skirt-like manto, reminiscent of that of Zaragoza, expressing a shared spiritual heritage while manifesting a unique identity in our local devotion.

Around this devotion, our local Church is guided by beloved patrons:
St. James the Greater, patron of the town of Libmanan, who calls us to missionary zeal and courageous faith;
St. Isidore the Farmer, to whom Barangay San Isidro is named after, who teaches us holiness in daily work and simplicity of life;
and St. Joseph, the principal patron of our Diocese, model of silent obedience, protection, and fatherly care.

Together, they form a communion of faith that surrounds our devotion to Our Lady of the Pillar.

As we prepare for the solemn declaration of our Spiritual Brotherhood between the Catedral-Basilica del Pilar in Zaragoza, Spain and the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Pillar in Libmanan, on June 12, 2026, may this humble catechesis deepen our love for Our Lady and strengthen our unity as one Church.
