Nuestra Señora de Salvacion, also known as Our Lady of Salvation, is a Catholic title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary to honor her role as a mediatrix to her Son for the sake of our salvation and obedience to the divine will by becoming the Mother of the Savior.

Nuestra Señora de Salvacion is the patron of Janlud, Libacao Aklan. The feast of the Virgin is celebrated every May 4 and 5. According to Catholic doctrine, as Co-Redemptrix. The Virgin is portrayed as carrying the Christ Child in her left arm, while her right arm grasps a man by the wrist as he is about to fall into a gaping Hellmouth.

Flores de Mayo has become a tribute thanksgiving by the people in the barangay. On the last day of May, Santa Cruzan is commemorated to Helena of Constantinople known as Reyna Elena’s search for the Holy Cross and to coincide with the end of the catechism for children. This ritual pageant features town belles parading in long gowns representing the many titles of the Blessed Mother and significant Biblical characters under arches colorfully decorated and designed. Reyna Elena holds a cross alongside her son Constantino, followed by the image of the Virgin Mary. Prior to the procession, a novena is held in honor of the Holy Cross. The ceremony is followed by an afterparty or locals called it ‘’binayle’’ that lasts until the following morning.
