MODERN IDOLS
WHEN GOOD THINGS TAKE GOD’S PLACE

Modern idols resemble approval, success, money, comfort, relationships, and control, not statues. Anything you can't surrender may rival God. Idols promise security but cause pressure, identity but produce fear, peace but steal freedom. God isn't asking you to lose good things—He invites you to keep Him first so blessings stay gifts, not gods. Guard your heart; what you rely on most becomes what you worship.

📖 “Little children, keep yourselves from idols.” — 1 John 5:21

📖 “You shall have no other gods before Me.” — Exodus 20:3

📖 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21

Sometimes the biggest idols are the most acceptable ones. When God is first, everything else finds its proper place
