“I thirst.”

As a youth, this word reminds us that even Jesus experienced physical, emotional, and spiritual longing.

We all have thirsts—longings for love, acceptance, purpose, and justice. Sometimes, we feel empty or ignored, like no one understands what we’re going through.

Jesus’ thirst shows us that it’s okay to acknowledge our needs and to reach out for help. It’s a call to care for ourselves and for others.

As young people, we are called to:
Be aware of our own needs and feelings
Offer help and compassion to those who are struggling

Seek spiritual and emotional nourishment in God and community

Prayer:
Lord, quench our thirst for meaning, love, and hope. Teach us to recognize the needs of others and to be a source of care and comfort.

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

As a youth, this is the cry we sometimes carry in silence.

There are moments when we feel alone, rejected, or forgotten—when problems at home, pressure in life, or struggles in our community make us question everything. We ask, “Nasaan Ka, Lord?”

Even Jesus Christ felt this deep pain. He understands what it means to feel abandoned.

But this message reminds us:
Feeling lost does not mean we are truly alone.

“Woman, here is your son… Here is your mother.”

As a youth, this message speaks about love, responsibility, and care for one another.

Even in His suffering, Jesus Christ did not think only of Himself—He cared for His mother and entrusted her to a disciple. It reminds us that love goes beyond blood; it creates a family even in the hardest moments.

Today, many young people witness broken families, struggles at home, and communities in pain. But we are called to step up, care more, and love deeper.

As youth, we are called to:

Be a source of strength to our family
Respect and care for our parents and elders
Treat others as brothers and sisters

Family is not just given—it is built through love, sacrifice, and responsibility.

Prayer: Lord, teach us to love like You—selfless, faithful, and true. Help us care for one another and become a family that reflects Your love.

“Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

As a youth, this message gives us hope.
We live in a world where mistakes are often remembered more than our efforts to change. Sometimes we feel unworthy, judged, or left behind because of our past. But this moment reminds us that it is never too late to turn back, never too late to be forgiven, and never too late to be loved.

Even in His final moments, Jesus Christ opened the door of mercy to someone who simply believed.

As young people, we are called to:
Believe that change is possible
Lift others, not judge them

Choose hope, even in our lowest moments
Paradise is not just a place—it begins when we choose faith, love, and mercy today.

Prayer: Lord, remind us that no matter how far we fall, Your love reaches us. Teach us to trust in Your mercy and to bring hope to others.

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

As a young person, this message hits deeply. In a world where it’s easy to judge, cancel, or fight back, we are called to do something harder—forgive.

Sometimes, people hurt us through words, actions, or even silence. Friends betray us, leaders fail us, and injustice surrounds us. Like what many communities experience today, pain and anger can easily take over our hearts.

But Jesus Christ, even in His suffering, chose mercy over hatred.

As youth, we are not just witnesses of pain—we are called to be instruments of healing. Forgiveness does not mean forgetting the wrong, but choosing love over revenge. It means standing for what is right without letting hatred consume us.

Today, we pray: Lord, teach us to forgive even when it is hard. Give us courage to respond with love, and strength to bring light in places of darkness.
