Yes, ministry burnout is real.

Many Christians who were once passionate and “on fire” for God now find themselves exhausted and spiritually drained.

One key reason is this: we’ve emphasized doing ministry more than knowing God. We’ve encouraged people to chase the fire of ministry without teaching them to pursue the oil of intimacy.

When your motivation becomes performance, recognition, or simply completing tasks, ministry starts to feel like a burden. Without a consistent, personal walk with God, it’s easy to burn out.

We’ve prioritized public service over private surrender. A lack of time in the Word, prayer, and worship in the secret place is often the root of spiritual dryness.

Events and trainings can spark excitement, but only the secret place produces the oil that sustains the fire.

It’s the anointing that makes the difference. Public impact flows from private devotion. God honors those who walk faithfully and pursue Him in the unseen.

If you choose to honor Him when no one’s watching, He will honor you when everyone is. Don’t neglect the oil — go back to the secret place 🙇🏻🤍
