𝗩𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗟 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦 | September 4, 2026
Vigil Mass in Honor of Santa Maria Toribia de la Cabeza

The Vigil Mass was a meaningful celebration of faith and community, with the Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Jake E. Domingo.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Domingo reflected on the essence of a Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC) as a community where people support one another, especially in moments of weakness, discouragement, and difficulty. He emphasized that being a Church means not leaving anyone behind, but helping one another find strength, hope, and the right path.

His reflection reminds us that a true community is one where people do not simply gather, but walk together and care for one another.

May we continue to build a Church where no one walks alone.

Uban sa malipayong kasingkasing, among gidapit ang tanan sa pag-apil kanato sa pagsaulog sa Kapistahan ni Santa Maria Toribia de la Cabeza, ang Segunda Patrona sa atong parokya, Parokya ni San Isidro Labrador, uban usab sa 2nd BEC Grand Fellowship.

Maghiusa kita isip usa ka komunidad sa pagtuo diha sa pag-ampo, pagpasalamat, ug panag-uban, samtang atong pangayoon ang pagpataliwala ni Santa Maria Toribia de la Cabeza. Hinaot nga pinaagi niini, mas mapalig-on ang atong panaghiusa isip mga igsoon diha kang Kristo.

9th Day Novena Mass in Honor of Santa Maria Toribia de la Cabeza

The ninth and final day of the novena was marked by a meaningful celebration of faith and devotion, with the Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Romulo Z. Espina, Jr.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Espina reflected on the meaning of “Magkauban,” which calls us to be together, to help one another, and to remain united as one community. As shown to us by Jesus Christ, we are not called to journey through life alone. Rather, we are called to become a community—one that walks together, supports one another, and gives thanks together.

As we come to the end of this novena, may we carry with us the reminder that faith is not meant to be lived in isolation. We are called to walk with one another, to extend help to those in need, and to build a community rooted in unity, cooperation, and gratitude.

May the example of Santa Maria Toribia de la Cabeza inspire us to live not only for ourselves, but with and for others. May we continue to walk together in faith, strengthen one another in times of difficulty, and give thanks for the gift of community that God has entrusted to us.

8th Day Novena Mass in Honor of Santa Maria Toribia de la Cabeza

The eighth day of the novena continued with a meaningful celebration of faith and devotion, with the Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Edward M. Veloso.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Veloso reminded the faithful that, just like Christ, we are called to help others through our lives. Our concern should not be limited to ourselves, our own families, or even our own communities, but should extend to anyone and anywhere where there are people in need of help. He encouraged everyone to make our lives instruments of compassion, service, and love for others.

As we continue this novena, may we learn to look beyond ourselves and recognize the needs of those around us. May we not limit our kindness to those closest to us, but willingly extend our hands and hearts to those who need our help, wherever they may be.

May the example of Santa Maria Toribia de la Cabeza inspire us to live a life of selfless service, compassion, and generosity, following Christ who calls us to be instruments of His love to others.
