SEPTEMBER 21 IS FEAST OF ST. MATTHEW,
APOSTLE AND EVANGELIST

From a tax collector to an Apostle and Evangelist—St. Matthew reminds us that no one is beyond the call of Christ. Jesus simply said, “Follow me.” And Matthew got up and followed Him.

May we also have the courage to leave behind what keeps us from God and say yes when He calls us.

St. Matthew, pray for us!

Mater Dolorosa

Maligayang Kapistahan!

Sept 15 | Celebrating the Feast Day of La Pieta/Mater Angustia

Mother of Sorrow,
You held Jesus in your arms,
Please intercede with your Divine Son in our behalf.
Ask Him to help us to know one another better,
To forgive one another more readily,
To love one another more deeply.
Mother of all mankind inspire us to travel without falter
Along that road at the end of which,
Under the Fatherhood of God, there is true peace.

Sept 15 | Celebrating the Feast Day of Our Lady of Solitude/La Madre de la Soledad

Most worthy Mother of God, who, standing by the cross of Jesus, your Son, saw him in sorrow, in pain, in agony and dying,
alone and forsaken, with no relief but bitterness, and no companionship but agony.
My soul desires to share, O sorrowful Virgin, in your grief and pain, so that I may accompany you all my life in the just sorrow of the death of your beloved Son.
Allow me, O lonely Mother, to be always at your side in this bitter solitude, to feel what you feel and to weep what you weep.
Pour into my breast, O Mother of true love, a burning charity to love your divine Son, who died crucified for my love; and grant me the favour I ask in this prayer, for the glory of God, your honour and the good of my soul. Amen.

Sept 15 | Celebrating the Feast Day of Our Lady of Sorrows/Mater Dolorosa

Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, witnessed Your suffering with a heart full of pain, yet she remained faithful. Her tears were not a sign of weakness, but of a love that remained steadfast until the end.

Teach us to follow her example. When we face trials, disappointments, and moments of sorrow, help us not to lose hope. Give us the courage to remain faithful, the strength to carry our crosses, and the grace to trust You even when the path is difficult.

May our suffering draw us closer to You, and may our tears become prayers of surrender and faith.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
Help us to remember that even in our deepest sorrow, we are never alone, for God’s love remains with us.

HAPPY FEAST OF ST. BARTHOLOMEW! 🤎

Today, August 24, we celebrate the feast of St. Bartholomew the Apostle, one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus and a faithful witness to the Gospel.

May St. Bartholomew inspire us to follow Christ with courage, sincerity, and unwavering faith. Like the Apostles, may we never be afraid to proclaim the Good News and remain faithful to Jesus wherever He calls us.

St. Bartholomew the Apostle, pray for us! 🙏

AUGUST 11 | Celebrating the feast day of Our Lady of Salvation

Prayer to Our Lady of Salvation

Our Lady of Salvation,
we come to thank you
for all the graces and blessings
you have showered upon us.
We want to consecrate
ourselves to you.
We are yours and
we want to be yours forever
for to be yours is to be God's.

Our Lady of Salvation,
give us a living faith in your Son and a living charity for all men.
Save us from errors of the mind and errors of the heart.
Be our guiding light
during our earthly pilgrimage,
be our strength in the
storms and stresses of life.

Our Lady of Salvation,
you are the Mother of Christ,
you are our Queen and Mother,
you are our Heavenly Patroness,
you are our life,
our sweetness and our hope
and we love you.

AMEN.
