With much gratitude, the St. Padre Pio Knights of Columbus Council No. 18640 brothers gathered for a photo opportunity with the Parochial Vicar, Rev. Fr. Kevin Fonacier after the 10:30 Sunday Mass held on February 15, 2026

It was the first of the Council's monthly sponsored mass at its mother parish, St. Padre Pio Parish, Rawis, Legazpi City. Seven brothers attended along with their respective families, led by the Grand Knight.

The brethren continue to pray for more Catholic gentlemen who will respond to the call for growth, service, and holiness through the brotherhood.

On February 14, 2026 aboard St. Padre Pio Parish Hall, KofC Council No. 18640 held its monthly regular Council Meeting. The council warmly welcomed back Brother Rommel Revenke to the council.

Various concerns were discussed and agreed unanimously for the sustained revitalization of the council.

The Knights of Columbus - St. Padre Pio Council No. 18640 joins the bereaved family, in mourning the untimely passing of Sir Knight Rodrigo P. Paraiso.

With gratitude to God, we offer his dedicated service to the Order and cherish his example of humility and committed service.

Rest in peace Worthy Brother.

It is with deep sorrow that our Council announces the passing of our beloved Brother Knight, Sir Knight Rodrigo “Rod” P. Paraiso, Past Grand Knight, Past District Deputy, and KCFAPI Area Manager.

Sir Knight Rod was a true brother to all—steadfast in service, generous in spirit, and unwavering in his commitment to the Order and to charity. His leadership and example will remain an enduring inspiration to our Council and to all whose lives he touched.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Details of the necrological services will be announced in due time.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

On January 30, 2026 aboard LCC Activity Center, Legazpi City brothers from St. Padre Pio KofC Council No.: 18640 participated in the Bloodletting Activity organized by KofC St. Raphael the Archangel Parish Council No. 9620. Along with other volunteer donors from other participating groups, the brothers once again lived up to the Columban spirit of selfless giving.

Bannering the theme, "One in Faith, United in Life, the activity was varried out successfully, garnering significant number of bags that were delosited at the Legzpi Blood Bank.

On January 9, 2026 aboard St. Padre Pio Parish Hall, KofC Council No. 18640 held its first regular Council Meeting of year which was attended by nine brothers including the two newly admitted brothers.

Vital plans were discussed and agreed unanimously by all present for immediate implentation. While membership remains small, the dedication of the majority has been truly encouraging.

After the meeting, a simple post Christmas and New Year Agape was partaken by the attendees coming from the generous contributions of all present.

Welcoming the dawn of 2026, the council looks forward to brighter days ahead with the unwaivering commitment of each of the members.

The Knights of Columbus - St. Padre Pio Council No.: 18640 warmly welcomes;

Worthy Brother Lee Ross R. Atanante, and
Worthy Brother Benedicto B. Bulaclac Jr

as new members, after their elevation to 1st Degree Knighthood during the exemplification held on January 7, 2026, at the St. Raphael Parish Hall.

They were solemnly exemplified along with four other candidates, belonging to St. Raphael Parish Council. The exemplification team was led by the Council Grand Knight, Sir Knight Ian Glenn Ian P. Barcebal.

On December 19, 2025, after the Simbang Gabi, brother knights of St. Padre Pio Council 18640 facilitated its first council initiated Orientation for Admission to two aspirants, held at the Parish Hall.

The candidates were Mr. Lee Ross R. Atanante, and Mr. Benedicto B. Bulaclac Jr. who were officially welcomed by the brothers who witnessed the formal orieentation given by the Council Grand Knight.

With the guidance of the District Deputy, Sir Knight Jo Añonuevo, the two candidates filled up their respective Form 100. They now await formal eximplification to the 1st Degree along with other candidates oriented in other councils.

St. Padre Pio KofC Council No.: 18640 held its last regular council meeting for the year, on December 13, 2025 held at St. Padre Pio Parish Church, Rawis, Legazpi City. Twelve charter founding members attended the meeting, which was presided by the Council Grand Knight

Highlights of the meeting included the accounting of its actual membership specially the active list. Reiteration of the officers and members' obligations was explicitly revisited to remind everyone of their specific roles.

Meanwhile promising developments have been noted, with clear action plan having been put in place for the immediate future.

In partnership with the Committee on Children, and VAWC of Barangay Bonot, Legazpi City; through the Chairmanship of Kgwd. Gilbert A. Barizo, KofC brothers of St. Padre Pio Council No. 18640 served as Resource Persons during the Bonot Children's Congress 2025 held at Brgy. Bonot Multi-purpose Hall on December 13, 2025.

Providing inputs on Marine Environmental Protection was the DGK SK Randolph Zuñiga, while GK SK Steven James G Diño gave a lecture with demonstrations on Basic Disaster Preparedness for kids.

The event was participated by seventy 9 to 14 - year old children from the Barangay. The collaboration between the LGU of Brg. Bonot, and KofC Council No. 18640 was facilitated through the efforts of Worthy Brother Henry C. Henry Camacho Asejo.

St. Padre Pio KofC Council No.: 18640 held its first regular council meeting on November 14, 2025 held at the Parish Social Hall, Rawis, Legazpi City. It was after its formal chartering and installation of charter officers held last October 22, 2025.

Highlights of the meeting included the streamlining of its membership, finalization of of its roster, filling up of vacated positions, and the projection of its plans and programs.

Trusting in Providence and the dedication of its members, the council strives to live by the commitments of each knight to authentic service.

Our parish community of St. Nicholas of Tolentino, Estancia, Malinao, Albay joins together in prayer for the repose of Rev. Fr. Jucef Z. Garcia, our beloved Parish Priest.

May his faithful service and witness to Christ continue to inspire us all.

The remains of Rev. Fr. Ga will lie in state at the Good Shepherd Chapel, St. Gregory the Great Cathedral, Legazpi City.
