Shabbat Shalom, Beloved!

There is something deeply beautiful about knowing that in Christ, we are not bound to remain who we once were. “Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Shabbat invites us to pause and remember the faithfulness of God, but it also invites us to look forward—to embrace the newness He is bringing forth. We can lay down what is behind us and step into what He has prepared ahead.

May this Shabbat remind you that you are a new creation, deeply loved by the One who made you. Rest in His grace, rejoice in His goodness, and walk forward in the newness of life He has given you.

He makes all things new! 🌻

Ako ay Kristyano. Ako ay Pilipino. Mahal ko ba ang bayan ko? Paano?

Adolescent pregnancy is not a problem we can afford to declare “solved.”

The numbers may be changing—but the call to respond remains.

In 2024, the Philippines recorded 138,697 live births to mothers aged 10–19.

While births among mothers aged 15–19 have declined, births among girls below 15 years old have continued to rise:

2022 — 3,135
2023 — 3,343
2024 — 3,612

This should cause us to pause.

Because when we talk about girls below 15, we are not simply talking about statistics or teenage choices. We are talking about children.

Children who need to be protected.
Children who need guidance.
Children who need families that are present and strong.
Children who need communities and institutions that will not look away.

The 2025 National Demographic and Health Survey shows a decline in the national prevalence of teenage pregnancy—from 5.4% in 2022 to 4.9% in 2025. Yet significant regional disparities remain, reminding us that the work is far from over.

The question now is not, “Are the numbers going down?”

But:

What are we doing to eliminate the risks?
How are we strengthening the family?
How are we preparing and empowering the youth?
And what is our responsibility as Christians and as Filipinos?

As Christian Filipino Nation Builders, we believe that nation building begins with the people and institutions that shape the next generation—starting with the family.

The strength of our nation is deeply connected to the strength and integrity of our families.

And when our children are at risk, we cannot remain silent.

In response to this national emergency, and as part of our Nation Building Project Initiatives with Christians for Nation Building, we are gathering Christian parents, pastors, educators, church leaders, youth, and concerned Christian Filipinos to introduce Oplan Real Talk — our Nation Building Project for Upholding Family Integrity, in partnership with Philippine Medical Association.

Join us in this expert-led, scientifically grounded, Constitutional web forum, encouraging parent-child engagement, and informed decision-making through a distinct Christian Worldview:

The numbers may be declining in some areas, but rising in another.

For us, that is not a reason to step back. It is a reason to understand better, pray harder, strengthen the family, and act.

Because every child matters.

Every family matters.

And every generation we raise shapes the nation we build.

Let us pray.
Let us be equipped.
Let us act.

For our children.
For our families.
For a nation that is pleasing to God and a blessing to the world.

God’s Kingdom Builders are Nation Builders.

Elul shows us that before we prepare for a new season, we are invited to prepare our hearts—to slow down, become still, and return to the One who is always waiting for us.

Like the child in Psalm 131, may our souls learn to rest peacefully in the Father’s presence, no longer striving to carry what was never ours to carry.

This Shabbat, may we quiet the noise, release our burdens, and simply be with Him.

“My soul is like a weaned child within me.” — Psalm 131:2

In Elul, may our hearts come home.

Shabbat Shalom, Beloved Forwarding Family. ♥️
