CHURCH IN ACTION: Fighting Dengue Together!

With Dengue cases rising in Legazpi City, our church took action today by misting and disinfecting our grounds to eliminate mosquitoes and keep our community safe.

Faith goes hand-in-hand with action. While we pray for those who are sick, we are also doing our part to keep our spiritual home safe for everyone.

Protect your home using the 4S strategy:

1️⃣ Search and destroy: Empty any standing water in flower pots, drums, or tires.

2️⃣ Secure self-protection: Wear long sleeves or use mosquito repellent.

3️⃣ Seek early medical care: Go to the doctor immediately if you experience a sudden fever or symptoms.

4️⃣ Say "Yes" to misting: Support fogging and misting operations in your neighborhood.

Let us look out for one another and stay vigilant. Together, through prayer and action, we can stop the spread! 💪❤️

Celebrating Academic Excellence & Blessings 🎓🏅

God has truly blessed our church family with a generation of dedicated, hard-working students. Yesterday, during our Sunday worship service, we had the immense privilege of honoring all of our recent graduates and students who received academic honors and awards.

It was a beautiful moment of celebration as we recognized their achievements and came together as a congregation to pray for their future endeavors. We are incredibly proud of our Youth and Young People (YPs) for pursuing excellence and honoring God through their studies.

As they step into this next chapter, we stand on the promise of scripture:"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

Congratulations to all the students! Keep shining for Christ in everything you do. ✨

FLIP, FIND, and FOLLOW 📖

On August 2, 2026, our Youth and Young Professionals Fellowship gathered for an unforgettable day. Facilitated by Bro. Alvis Ayson, we jumped into a unique Bible-search activity that quickly turned into a powerful lesson about teamwork and faith.

The challenge seemed simple but required absolute cooperation: we paired up to find a specific Bible verse. However, there was a catch. One person could only use their eyes to scan the text, while the other could only use their hands to turn the pages.

Without open communication and deep trust, flipping through the pages became impossible. We quickly realized we couldn't rely on our own abilities alone. The "eyes" had to practice patience and guide the "hands," while the "hands" had to listen intently to move in the right direction.

This game beautifully mirrored our daily walk with God. Just like in the activity, we rarely see the full picture or have total control over what lies ahead. Bro. Alvis reminded us that finding the right direction in life isn't about doing everything yourself. It is about learning to listen to God's voice, trusting His leading, and taking the next step in faith.

True faith means trusting the One who sees exactly what we cannot.☝️

Sa bawat patak ng luha at bawat tagumpay,
Bente-singko anyos ang naging patunay
Na tayo’y hindi lamang kawan na nagkatagpo,
Kundi isang pamilyang binuo ng iisang dugo.

Iba’t ibang bahagi, sugatan man o buo,

Selebrasyon Ng Biyaya
LWC 25th Year Anniversary
Part Two
“ANG SELEBRASYON”

From solemn worship to a vibrant festival of praise, the joy of the harvest continued!

The second part of our 25th Anniversary, “Ang Selebrasyon,” brought our faith-filled Filipino Fiesta to life as different ministries showcased our rich culture through intermission Filipino Folk Dances:

✨ Kidzone Ministry charmed everyone with the playful steps of “Itik-itik”

✨ Youth & YP Ministry brought romance and grace with “Pantomina”

✨ GLOW Ministry beautifully lit up the sanctuary with “Pandanggo Sa Ilaw”

✨ Bravehearts Ministry brought high energy and rhythm with “Maglalatik”

The fellowship grew even livelier with our iconic fiesta games! Laughter filled the air during the hilarious “Pinoy Tongue Twister” challenge that left everyone twisting their words, followed by our own version of “Pera O Bayong.” The excitement went up another notch with the thrilling “Kudkudan Relay,” where our men fiercely competed to see who could grind coconut meat the fastest. Our children also joined the historic fun with traditional “Tiyakad” (stilt racing) and the highly anticipated “Pabitin” game.

No Filipino fiesta is complete without an overflowing feast! Aside from the delicious meals lovingly prepared by our GLOW moms, everyone beat the heat with a delightful dessert of traditional, sweet Sorbetes ice cream.

We wrapped up this unforgettable milestone with an exciting Raffle Draw and our unique “Gulayan Giveaways,” ensuring every family and member went home with smiles and a basket of fresh take-home vegetables—a literal symbol of God's abounding harvest in our lives.

Our hearts are full, our bellies are sated, and our church family is ready for the years to come! 🙌

Selebrasyon Ng Biyaya
LWC 25th Year Anniversary
Part One
“ANG PAGSAMBA AT PASASALAMAT”

Last July 5, we gathered for our 25th Anniversary Celebration, “Selebrasyon ng Biyaya.” Our church family filled the sanctuary dressed in vibrant, inspired Filipino attire, transforming the place into a beautiful, faith-filled Filipino Fiesta.

Traditionally, a Filipino fiesta is a cultural celebration of lively music, colorful decorations, and overflowing banquets, historically held to give thanks for a bountiful harvest and to honor community milestones. We took this beautiful tradition and elevated it into a grand spiritual homecoming—a profound celebration of God’s unmatched faithfulness, transforming a cultural feast into a modern altar of thanksgiving for 25 years of divine provision.

During the first part of our service, Ang Pagsamba, our Lead Senior Pastor Raul Chua led us in reflecting on our historic growth, assessing our current strength, and casting a bold vision for the years to come. We then moved into a deeply solemn time of prayer, worship singing and lifting our praises to the Lord for the unmerited favor that has sustained our community for a quarter-century.

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." – 2 Corinthians 9:8

The harvest of His love is plentiful, and we are ready for the next chapter of abounding in His grace! 🇵🇭
