“ 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐔𝐍𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐃: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐍, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐓! “

We are celebrating today the Solemnity of the Blessed Trinity—three distinct Persons in One God—sharing the same Divine Nature. The Gospel talks of God’s immeasurable love, directed to everyone, not just a selected few. St. Augustine wrote: “You see the Trinity if you see love.” In this Eucharist, let us gratefully worship and give glory to our loving and living Triune God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

“𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐓!“

Today is the Solemnity of the Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit, the birthday of the Church. Two accounts of the Pentecost are proclaimed in the Liturgy of the Word today. In the first the Holy Spirit comes like “a driving wind.” In the second, the Holy Spirit comes like “a breath” that the Risen Jesus breathed upon His disciples. Like the disciples we have received the Holy Spirit when we were baptized and confirmed. That we may have the power to continue the mission of Jesus—to evangelize, let us intensely pray in this Eucharist: “Come Holy Spirit!”

20 May 2026 | Today, we joyfully celebrated the Holy Mass for the 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, with devotion in honor of 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩, and the 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐚, presided over by REV FR CDR EMMAN B AVILA PCG.

As the Church continues to await the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the liturgy reminds us to remain united in prayer and faithful in love. Jesus prayed that His disciples may be one, reflecting the communion and peace that come from God alone.

Through the loving intercession of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, may we always find strength, comfort, and guidance in every trial. Inspired by the preaching and holiness of Saint Bernardine of Siena, may we courageously proclaim the Holy Name of Jesus in both word and deed.

May this Eucharistic celebration renew our hearts with deeper faith, stronger hope, and sincere charity toward one another.

“𝐆𝐎, 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐒, 𝐁𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐙𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇”

This Sunday is the Solemnity of the Ascension of Jesus, the final and essential event manifesting His victory over death and sin. The Risen Jesus before going back to the Father who gave Him all authority over earth and heaven sent His Apostles and disciples to go and proclaim the Good News to all. He left them the great command of evangelization that Matthew recalls for us in the Gospel today. Jesus also gives us the same command in our baptism. Let us pray for the courage and perseverance like that of the Apostles and the first Christians to be authentic witnesses of the Risen Jesus and proclaimers of His gift of salvation.

13 May 2026 | REV FR CDR EMMAN B AVILA PCG, Officer-in-Charge of the Coast Guard Ecumenical Chaplain Service – Bicol, celebrated the Holy Mass for the 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 / 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚.

Today’s Gospel reminds us that amid trials and sacrifices, God never leaves His people. Jesus assures His disciples that their sorrow will turn into joy through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

25 March 2026 | 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 celebrates its 𝟐𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 on the 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝, highlighted by a Holy Mass presided over by the Parish Administrator of St. Padre Pio Parish, 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐁. 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞.

The Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord reminds us of Mary’s faithful “yes” to God—a response marked by trust, humility, and courage.

As we celebrate the 27th Founding Anniversary of Coast Guard District Bicol, we are reminded that true service also begins with a “yes”—a commitment to serve others selflessly despite uncertainty and challenges.

May this occasion renew the dedication of every Coast Guard personnel to serve with integrity, courage, and faith, inspired by Mary’s example.

“𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒏 / 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔”

Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan is the second great epiphany, revealing who he is and the mission he has received. The Father’s voice proclaims him as the Son and Servant, filled with the Spirit and sent to bring justice to the world. This mission will also lead Him to carry the burden of humanity’s sin. The baptism of Jesus recalls our own, when God claimed us as His beloved children and we become sisters and brothers of Jesus. It is this gift of dignity that invites us to the Eucharistic table. Let us take part today with grateful hearts and loving awareness of what this calling means.

Today’s feast reminds us that God loves all nations and speaks to us in many ways through His word, through events, and through people, often in ways we understand only later. Like the Magi, we are called to recognize His guidance and respond with faith, generosity, and courage.

Let us lift up in prayer all the peoples of the world and all who strive to build harmony and cooperation among humanity.
