Tonight, we donโ€™t just remember a story; we live it. We stand at the threshold of new life, grateful for the mercy that found us and the love that saved us.

We are deeply honored to have united our voices as the Albay Cathedral Parish Choir, the Albay Cathedral Youth Choir, and Amare et Servire to witness the Resurrection through song. As we carry this Paschal flame forward, to love and to serveโ€”knowing that our melodies are but a humble reflection of the greatest love ever known.

A people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. Todayโ€™s liturgy calls us to be reflections of that Light. Christ is born in Bethlehem; let Him also be born anew in our hearts today. Wishing you a blessed and holy Christmas filled with the joy, hope, and peace.

Christ, in His humility, chose this setting to reveal to us the true greatness of love.

Symbolized by the lighting of each candle on the Advent Wreath, we celebrate Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace. Our hope rests on Jesus, our rock. From generation to generation, the scriptures and the prophets tell us of the hope that Jesusโ€™ coming brings to the world. Love is the name of God. It is love that gives Jesus to this world. Joy is our expression of rejoicing in all that God is doing in our lives and the expectation of Godโ€™s continued presence in our lives. Peace is Godโ€™s gift to us both at Jesusโ€™ birth and in Jesusโ€™ resurrection.

We are called to place our full trust in God by allowing Jesus to live within us so that we may share Him with the world. Though God is ever-merciful and calls us back to His path, we must remain vigilant. The long nights of waiting are coming to an end, and we must not let Christโ€™s arrival catch us unprepared. As the saying goes, even the moon might grow weary of the long nightโ€”let us be ready for the light. Have a blessed and meaningful Christmas!"
