We are grateful to our parish representatives from the different ministries and commissions of St. Padre Pio Parish and Diocesan Shrine who took part in the Diocesan Synodal Mission Congress 2026 held at the Legazpi City Convention Center.

As representatives of our parish, may this gathering deepen your faith, strengthen your commitment to serve, and inspire you to become true missionary disciples who walk together in communion, participation, and mission. May the learnings and experiences gained from this Congress bear fruit in our parish community as we continue to journey together as one Church.

Saint Albert Chmielowski (1845โ€“1916), was a Polish painter who gave up a successful artistic career to dedicate his life to serving the homeless and the destitute. He is the patron saint of the homeless and those living in poverty, remembered for seeing the face of Christ in every person in need.

According to ๐’๐š๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐€๐ฅ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ญ ๐‚๐ก๐ฆ๐ข๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ๐ค๐ข, our lives should resemble breadโ€”simple, nourishing, and freely shared with others. Just as bread is placed on the table for everyone without distinction, we are called to make ourselves available through acts of kindness, compassion, and selfless service.

True greatness is not found in seeking the praise of the world, but in bowing our hearts before the Lord. When we choose humility, we allow God to lift us up in His perfect time and way. Arrogance separates us from His grace, but a humble heart attracts His favor and transforms how we treat others.

According to ๐’๐ญ. ๐“๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐€๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ž, genuine faith is not the absence of doubt but the willingness to recognize Christ when He reveals Himself. Though Thomas is often remembered for questioning the Resurrection, his doubts ultimately led him to one of the most profound declarations of faith in Sacred Scripture: "My Lord and my God!"

Many of us experience moments when God seems distant, when our prayers appear unanswered, or when life's trials make it difficult to believe. Like Thomas, we may long for certainty before placing our complete trust in the Lord. Yet Christ does not turn away those who sincerely seek Him. Instead, He patiently meets us where we are and gently leads us toward a deeper faith.
