We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death,
so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father,
we too might live in newness of life. (Epistle, Romans 6:3-11)

Today, we celebrate the victory of life over death, hope over despair, and light over darkness. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ reminds us that no matter how heavy our struggles may be, joy always has the final word. ✨

Happy Easter mga Kalakbay! πŸ’›πŸ€

As we reflect on the Seven Last Words, we are reminded that even in His final moments, Jesus chose forgiveness, mercy, and selfless love. His words from the Cross speak directly to us todayβ€”calling us to let go of pride, to heal broken relationships, and to love even when it’s difficult.

To the youth: this is our invitation to pause, listen, and reflect. In a noisy world, may we hear His voice clearly and allow His words to transform our hearts. This is more than a traditionβ€”it’s a moment to encounter a love that gave everything for us. πŸ™

Jesus chose humility over recognition, obedience over comfortβ€”even to the point of the Cross. In a world that often pushes us to chase validation, success, and attention, this reminds us that true greatness is found in surrendering to God’s will. As young people, it challenges us to choose what is right even when it’s hard, to stay faithful even when no one is watching, and to trust that God sees every sacrifice we make.

Because of this humility, God raised Jesus up and gave Him the name above every name. This is our hope: that our small acts of faith, love, and obedience are never wasted. When we choose God, even in the little things, He transforms our lives in ways we may not immediately see. Like Christ, our path may include strugglesβ€”but it always leads to something greater.

In John 13:1–15, we see Jesus doing something unexpectedβ€”He washes the feet of His disciples. The One who is Lord and Teacher chooses to serve in the most humble way. For us young people, this is a powerful reminder that greatness isn’t about status, popularity, or recognition, but about love expressed through service. In a world that often pushes us to be β€œon top,” Jesus invites us to kneel down, to care, to serve, and to love without seeking anything in return.

This Gospel challenges us to live differentlyβ€”to be the kind of youth who leads by example, who chooses kindness over pride, and who is not afraid to serve even in the simplest ways. Like Jesus, may we have the courage to love selflessly and the humility to serve others, knowing that in doing so, we reflect His heart to the world.

In Matthew 26:14–25, we see something deeply realβ€”Judas, one of Jesus’ own, choosing to betray Him. It reminds us that following Christ isn’t always easy, and even those who are close to Him can struggle and make wrong choices. At the Last Supper, Jesus already knows what will happen, yet He still sits at the table, still loves, still offers Himself. That kind of loveβ€”steady, patient, and forgivingβ€”hits differently.

This Gospel speaks to us as young people because we, too, face moments of choosing between what is right and what is easy. Sometimes, we β€œbetray” Jesus in small waysβ€”when we give in to pressure, stay silent when we should stand for what’s good, or put ourselves first. But this is also a reminder that Jesus never stops reaching out to us. We are always invited to come back, to choose Him again, and to stay faithful even when it’s hard. πŸ™

In John 13:21–33, 36–38, we see a very real and human momentβ€”betrayal and denial happening even among Jesus’ closest friends. Judas walks away, and Peter, despite his strong words, will soon deny Him. It reminds us that even those who are close to Jesus can struggle, make mistakes, and fall short. As young people, we may also experience moments when our faith feels weak or when we fail to stand up for what is right.

But this Gospel also speaks of hope. Even knowing what would happen, Jesus continues to love His disciples. In the same way, He never gives up on us. This is our invitation to stay close to Himβ€”not because we are perfect, but because we are loved. In our journey of faith, may we learn to trust Him more, stand firm in difficult moments, and always return to Him when we fall.

In John 12:1–11, Mary pours out an expensive perfume to anoint the feet of Jesusβ€”an act that seems excessive to others, especially Judas, who questions its worth. But for Mary, it wasn’t about the costβ€”it was about love. She gave her best, holding nothing back, showing that real devotion goes beyond what is practical or expected. Jesus honors her act, reminding us that love offered sincerely is always meaningful in God’s eyes.

As young people, this challenges us to reflect: how do we show our love for Christ? In a world that often measures value by usefulness or recognition, we are called to love boldly and generouslyβ€”even when others may not understand. Like Mary, may we not be afraid to give our time, our energy, and our hearts fully to the Lord, trusting that every act of love, no matter how small or unseen, truly matters.
