𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟎 | 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

Today, the Church keeps the solemn feast of Saint Lawrence, the archdeacon of Rome who gave his life for the treasury of the faith. When the prefect of Rome demanded that he hand over the riches of the Church, Lawrence presented the poor, the sick, and the marginalized, declaring them the true treasures of the Body of Christ. His radical witness reminds us that wealth is measured not in gold, but in the dignity we restore to the least among us. He was a deacon who served with his hands and his heart, and his martyrdom sealed a life already given in daily sacrifice.

As we honor his memory, we are invited to examine our own discipleship. Lawrence faced the gridiron with a courage that could only come from deep communion with the crucified Lord. Tradition tells us he even joked with his executioners, "Turn me over, I'm done on this side!" a sign of a soul so anchored in eternity that no temporal suffering could shake his peace. On this solemnity, may his intercession strengthen us to love without counting the cost, to serve the poor with joy, and to witness to the Gospel even when the fire of trials surrounds us. Saint Lawrence, deacon and martyr, pray for us. 🔥🙏

𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord that glorious moment on Mount Tabor when Christ's divinity broke through His human flesh, and His face shone like the sun. Moses and Elijah stood beside Him, bearing witness to the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets, while the Father's voice thundered from the cloud: "This is my beloved Son; listen to Him." For a brief moment, the disciples glimpsed the glory that awaits all who follow Him not as an escape from this world, but as a promise that our suffering, too, shall be transfigured. Today, we are called not to build tents upon the mountain, but to carry that radiant light into the valleys of our daily lives, and to listen truly listen to the One who leads us from glory to glory, through the cross to the resurrection.

Committed to faithfully serving during Holy Masses and other liturgical celebrations

Today, June 27, we joyfully and reverently celebrate the Feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, the patroness of countless faithful and a beacon of hope for all who seek her intercession. With deep devotion, we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary under this beloved title, acknowledging her constant protection, unfailing guidance, and loving presence in our lives.

May our prayers rise to her, that through her intercession, we may receive strength in times of trial, grace in our journey of faith, and the eternal help of her Son, Jesus Christ.

Corpus Christi, also known as the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, is a solemn celebration that honors the real and abiding presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. It teaches us that the bread and wine offered at Mass are not mere symbols, but are truly transformed into His Body and Blood, given freely for the salvation of all. This feast invites us to pause and reflect on this great mystery of faith a gift of love that nourishes our souls, unites us as one community of believers, and strengthens us to live according to Christ’s teachings. It is a time of adoration, gratitude, and renewed devotion to the Lord who remains with us always under the appearance of bread and wine.
