It has been a month since Youth Encounter Batch 7, but somehow, looking at these photos brings us back to those four days when strangers slowly became a community.
We remember the first nightโthe quiet hesitations, the shy smiles, the unsure faces, and the hearts still trying to understand why they were there. We remember the laughter that made the place feel lighter, the songs that filled the room, the tears that were no longer hidden, the prayers whispered in silence, and the moments when God gently reminded each one: You are loved. You are seen. You are not alone.
Batch 7, you will always be special to us.
You came as you wereโwith your stories, fears, questions, wounds, hopes, and dreams. And in those few days, we witnessed how God moved in ways only He could. Not always loudly. Sometimes quietly. Sometimes through a friendโs embrace, a groupmateโs affirmation, a song, a prayer, or a simple moment of being listened to.
May you never forget what the Lord allowed you to experience.
When life becomes heavy again, remember that you are "biniyayaan"โblessed even in ways you may not yet understand.
When you feel alone, remember that you are "inaantabayan"โaccompanied by Christ and by the community He gave you.
And when you begin to wonder what comes next, remember that you are "sinusugo"โsent to love, serve, and witness.
Youth Encounter was never meant to end after four days.
It continues in the way you pray, forgive, listen, serve, choose kindness, return to God, and become a light to others.
Thank you, Batch 7, for your courage to say yes.
Thank you for allowing us to walk with you.
Thank you for reminding us that one heart changed is already worth everything.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this Youth Encounter possible: to our Parish Priest and parish community, to the St. Jude Youth Commission, to our coordinators, facilitators, assistant facilitators, talk givers, animators, service team, documentation team, kitchen and logistics team, benefactors, parents and guardians, and to everyone who supported us through prayers, time, resources, and presence.
Above all, we thank the Lord for calling each participant by name and for allowing us to witness His grace working in the lives of the young.
This is your journey.
This is your community.
This is only the beginning.
