🙏 A Grateful Heart for the Gift of Service

Today, as part of our Patronal Fiesta Series of Inspirational Talks and Spiritual Upliftment, we were blessed by the inspiring presence and message of our Resource Speaker, Romeuel M. Domalaon.

Through his talk on “Valuing God’s Gift of Service in Parish Life,” we were reminded of the beauty of serving God and His people with a generous and joyful heart. His words encouraged us to deepen our appreciation for the many ways we can actively participate in the life and mission of our parish.

The Our Lady of Peñafrancia Mission Church sincerely thanks Kuya Romeuel for sharing his time, wisdom, and faith with our parish community. May God continue to bless his ministry and all those who generously offer their gifts in service to the Church. ❤️🙏

As we continue our journey as Pilgrims of Hope, may we grow together as a mission church through the maternal care of Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia.

CALUNGSOD PARISH. Today, August 17, 2026, the Bishop of Legazpi, Most Rev. Joel Z. Baylon, formally erected the Parish of San Pedro Calungsod in Bascaran, Daraga, Albay.

The community began as a mission church and was erected as a quasi-parish on September 10, 2023. After nearly three years, Bishop Baylon decreed its canonical er****on as a parish in accordance with Canon 515 §2 of the Code of Canon Law. Rev. Fr. Cipriano Ante was also installed as its inaugural pastor.

With the canonical er****on of San Pedro Calungsod Parish, the Diocese of Legazpi now has 47 territorial parishes, alongside 2 personal parishes, 5 quasi-parishes, and 4 mission stations.

The establishment of the new parish comes during the celebratory phase of the Diamond Jubilee of the Diocese of Legazpi, a fitting sign of the continuing growth of our local Church and its mission throughout Albay.

✨ A HEART THAT SERVES, A LIFE THAT INSPIRES✨

As part of our Series of Inspirational Talks and Spiritual Upliftment, the Our Lady of Peñafrancia Mission Church warmly welcomed Mr. Arjay Dayandante as today’s speaker.

Through his inspiring talk, “Your Commitment to Service Matters,” he reminded us that true service calls for steadfastness, responsibility, and faith. More than simply fulfilling a role, commitment means continuing to say “yes” to service even during the hardest seasons of our lives, when we are tired, uncertain, or facing our own struggles. It is in these difficult moments that our “yes” becomes a deeper expression of faith, love, and trust in God.

His message challenged us to remain faithful to our commitments, understanding that serving others is not always easy, but every act of service offered with sincerity can become a testament to God’s grace and love.

We are deeply grateful to Mr. Arjay Dayandante for generously sharing his knowledge, experiences, and wisdom with our community. May his words inspire us to continue saying “yes” to the call to serve, whatever season of life we may be in, and to journey together as Pilgrims of Hope, guided by the loving maternal care of Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia. 🙏💙
