One of the strongest foundations of any manifestations of strength is faith. A faith to see things through, a faith that things will turn right in time... a faith that promises hope in the horizon. In today's Gospel, Jesus is approached by a Canaanite woman who pleaded to have her daughter saved from demons.

And despite initial dismissal from the disciples, and even Jesus himself, the mother pleaded to him. Even asking Jesus to help her. This display of faith, despite initial aloofness from the Son of God and his disciples, was enough to move Jesus and heal the woman's daughter.

Faith is an unshakeable thing; and Jesus himself is a testament of that. And though he hesitated on account of the woman's origins from Canaan (which is not considered a tribe of Israel), her pleas and her faith broke through all doubt.

Because faith is not limited to one people. Faith is not limited to one race. For in this Gospel Reading, Jesus has proved once again that as long as one has faith in the Father, He will grant them His strength and his deliverance.

In todayโ€™s Gospel, the Canaanite woman shows us how to never give up when asking Jesus for help. Fr. Arn's homily reminds us of three important lessons: take our problems straight to God, keep praying even if we don't see results immediately, and truly believe He will answer. With hearts full of gratitude, we joyfully celebrated the 25th Sacerdotal Anniversary of Rev. Fr. John N. Tadifa and Rev. Fr. Julius G. Jacobres last August 9, 2026.

โ˜€๏ธTHE TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD | FEAST DAY

Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, a sacred moment that reveals the divine glory of Jesus Christ. Before Peter, James, and John, Jesus was transfigured, and His face shone like the sun while His clothes became dazzling white. This extraordinary event strengthened the faith of His disciples and affirmed that He is the beloved Son of God. Through the Transfiguration, we are reminded to listen to Him, trust His promises, and remain faithful even in times of trial. ๐Ÿ™

As we reflect on this holy feast, may we allow Christโ€™s light to transform our hearts and renew our faith. Like the disciples, may we recognize His presence in our daily lives and find hope in His glory. I pray that His light will guide my decisions, strengthen my spirit, and help me become a better follower of Christ. May I reflect His love, mercy, and compassion through my words and actions each day. Let the Transfiguration inspire us to grow closer to God and become faithful witnesses of His love. ๐Ÿ’•
