The first fellowship for this 2026 of the Leganes Parish Youth Ministry was truly a beautiful reminder that we are never alone, because Jesus calls us not just servants, but His friends. Last May 17, 2026, through the guidance and leadership of our Youth Coordinator, G.V. Marie Tacda and the rest of the LPYM Council Officers, the youth gathered together to strengthen faith, friendship, and love for one another.

One of the most meaningful highlights of the fellowship was the “Thread of Friendship,” where every youth received 5 pieces of yarn to give to their closest friends as a symbol of connection, trust, and genuine friendship. It may only be a simple thread, but it carried countless memories, smiles, hugs, and even tears of joy.

Thank you, Lord, for allowing us to experience Your love through the people around us. May this fellowship be the beginning of stronger friendships, deeper faith, and more hearts united in Your name. 🤍✨

The Ascension of the Lord is not a story of goodbye, but a promise that heaven is never close for those who walk with Christ. ⛅

Before His Ascension, Jesus reminds His disciples to remain faithful and hopeful during uncertain times, reminding us that our lives are destined for something greater than the physical concepts of the world. 🌏

Today is a beautiful invitation to rise above fear, doubt, and everything that keeps us distant from God. May we continue to live as witnesses of His love, carrying light, kindness, and hope wherever we go.

Heaven is our destination, but while we are here, may our lives reflect the presence of the One who never stops guiding us. 🤍

A meaningful fellowship awaits us with the theme, “Friends, Therefore Witnesses.”

Together, let us strengthen our friendship, bond with one another, and deepen our relationship with God as growing young witnesses of Christ through fun activities, and sharing sessions of this fellowship day.

St. Isidore, the Farmer, reminds us that holiness is present in simple and humble work.

His life as a farmer showed that faith can be extended beyond the structural comfort of the church, because true faith is reflected in our daily responsibilities and acts of kindness.

As we celebrate his feast day, let us encourage one another to remain faithful in prayer and labor, dedicating our efforts to God with humility and gratitude, while fostering growth in love, compassion, and service to others.

Today, we celebrate the feast of Saint Matthias the Apostle - a reminder that God calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things through faith and obedience. May his life inspire us to stay faithful even when no one sees our sacrifices.
Like Saint Matthias, may we always say “yes” to God’s mission with courage and humility.

6𝒕𝒉 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 | “If you love me, you will keep my commandments." - John 14 : 15-21

Today's Gospel reflects the words and the tenets of Jesus. It talks about us following, observing, and living by the commandments of God and our Savior. As Jesus said, "And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him."

But what did Jesus mean by this?

In today's rapidly-changing world, it often seems like kindness and generosity has become a thing of privilege. Empathy is seen as weakness, and compassion is seen as an insult. Let us not forget that Jesus has walked among sinners: dined and broke bread with prostitutes, tax collectors, the poor, and the sick.

Jesus' commandments are simple: to be kind and to love thy neighbor as you love thyself. And any Advocate who embraces that message, that commandment, is seen by the will of God, and favored by the will of God.

‎—This verse reminds us that our love for Christ is shown not only through words, but also in obedience and a life that follows His teachings. It reminds us that true love is demonstrated and not just only declared. For those who keep His word are the ones who truly love Him, and in return, He reveals Himself to them in a personal and powerful way.

‎Mothers live this kind of love every day—teaching, guiding and correcting us with hearts full of grace. In their presence, we experience a glimpse of God’s promise to stay with us and not to leave us as orphans.

As we celebrate Mother's Day today, Jesus teaches us in this Gospel that the Holy Spirit guides us to the truth about God. Similarly, our mothers play a comparable role. They guide, nurture, and support us as we grow by meeting our needs and showing us the right way to live more wisely and avoid harmful consequences. Moreover, as Jesus said, "whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me," let us show our love for Him by loving our mothers and expressing our affection through gestures, gifts, and words of appreciation. Let us cherish our mothers not only today or tomorrow but every day. From the Leganes Parish Ministry of Altar Servers, we extend our greetings and prayers to all mothers.
