🙏✨ Today we honor the 48th death anniversary of the Servant of God, Fr. George J. Willmann, SJ — Father of the Knights of Columbus in the Philippines and Founder of KCFAPI. His legacy of faith and service continues to inspire us to live as true heralds of hope.

✨ Installation of Council Officers 2025 ✨

On August 31, 2025, at Holy Trinity Hall, Sto. Cristo Parish, GK Vivencio “Cio” Mahinay delivered his inaugural address as the 9th Grand Knight of our council.

Answering the call of Supreme Knight Patrick E. Kelly with this year’s theme “Knights as Heralds of Hope,” our Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Mariel Sarez, challenged us to deepen our personal relationship with God, be more present in parish life, and place Christ at the heart of our Faith-in-Action programs. He also encouraged us to take on parish infrastructure projects—such as repositioning the Memorial of the Unborn and renovating part of Sacred Heart Hall into a dedicated Knights of Columbus space.

District Deputy SK Augusto Lusung Jr. reminded us that every program must ask: “Does this bring hope?” He also challenged us to recruit more men into the Knights of Columbus to increase our capacity to serve those in need and further strengthen the mission of the Order.

With united support, our officers and members stand with GK Cio to herald hope and peace through our works of faith, family, community, and life. Together, we answer “YES” to all the challenges from the Supreme Knight, District Deputy, and Parish Priest—for the greater glory of God! 🙏⚔️✨

We echo the words of Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly as we pledge our prayers and loyalty to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, the first American Pope and a familiar friend to the Knights of Columbus.

From our founding during the pontificate of Pope Leo XIII to this new chapter with Pope Leo XIV, the Knights remain steadfast in our mission — faithful to the Holy Father and committed to building up the Kingdom of God through charity and evangelization.

Following the election of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, Knights of Columbus Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly issued the following statement: “The Knights of Columbus joins Catholics everywhere in celebrating the election of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, the successor of St. Peter and spiritual leader of the Catholic Church. On behalf of our 2.1 million members around the world, I pledge our loyalty to Pope Leo XIV as well as our prayers today and every day of his pontificate. 🕊️ Habemus Papam! With great joy, we welcome His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. As he begins his pontificate, many see in him a likeness to Pope Leo XIII — a leader known for courageously confronting the social issues of his time. May Pope Leo XIV likewise bring wisdom and bold moral clarity as the Church faces the challenges of today. 🙏🏻

🕯️ In Memoriam: SK Tomas S. Rosos, PGK, PFN 🕯️
District Marshal, District 16 NCR South

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother knight, SK Tomas S. Rosos, PGK, PFN, incumbent District Marshal of District 16, NCR South.

Sir Knight Tomas Rosos was a pillar of dedication, faith, and brotherhood within our Order. As Grand Knight of Sto. Cristo Council 13569, he led the council to excellence, earning the prestigious Star Council Award — a testament to his strong leadership and devotion. Later, as Faithful Navigator of San Lorenzo Ruiz Assembly 2342, he again guided his assembly to achieve the Star Assembly Award, further solidifying his legacy of commitment and service.

A tireless advocate for growth, SK Tom was deeply passionate about recruitment, personally inspiring many to join the Knights of Columbus — including his own son and grandchildren — ensuring that the values of faith, charity, and service would live on through generations.

Beyond his many achievements, SK Tom will always be remembered for the countless friendships he formed with his fellow brother knights. His warmth, kindness, and camaraderie touched many lives and created bonds that will endure long after his passing.

Let us honor his memory by continuing the mission he loved so dearly. We invite everyone to pray for the eternal repose of his soul and to offer support and prayers for his family during this time of mourning.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.
