The Chapel of St.Michael

The Chapel of St.Michael The Chapel of St. Michael, formerly known as "St. Michael's Chapel", is the oldest chapel in Good Shepherd Parish, even older than the parish itself.

Originally under the jurisdiction of St. Joseph Parish (Bamboo Organ) Michael was a very modest structure in 1962, with the lot donated by Capt. Felix and Aurora Ver Gonzales, the chapel metamorphosed into a rousing edifice after renovations. Generous members of the chapel community financially supported the makeover in time for its Fiesta in September (2018), coinciding with the Feast of St Michael, the Archangel. Sunday Masses:

The “Panunuluyan” or the reenactment of the Lord’s birth takes place every Christmas Eve Mass to re-tell the timeless story of Mary and Joseph’s journey as they welcome the Holy Child.

With hearts filled with gratefulness, we wish everyone a holy, blessed and grace-filled CHRISTmas!

On this sacred night of service and sacrifice, our chapel gathers not just as believers but as family.

This year, we honor the strength of fatherhood, as chosen dads take the place of the apostles, reminding us of love that leads by example.

Hosanna in the highest! 🌿

Today, we raised our palms together, marking the start of .

The responsorial psalm echoed deeply: “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” A line that speaks to all of us who’ve ever faced moments of doubt, pain, or uncertainty.

In life, we often stand at a crossroad; unsure whether to push forward or give up. But as shared during today’s homily: it's been a long way already—why stop now? "Malayo pa, pero malayo na.”

Thank you, Fr. Allan, for the very timely and beautiful homily that reminded us to hold on, trust, and keep walking in faith.

We are saved not by what we do, but what has Christ has done. The Celebration of the Lord’s Passion is a day filled with reflection and renewal.

May the Message of Good Friday fill our hearts with hope, deeper understanding of faith, and the knowledge of Jesus’ greatest sacrifice for the sake of His people.

HOLY THURSDAY: MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER

This year’s Washing of The Feet was reenacted with a certain twist, for we have encouraged the youth to represent the 12 Apostles, accompanied together with their dear parents and family members. It was stated in tonight’s homily the value of gratefulness, an act of thanksgiving of a child to his/her family. It was also a depiction of Jesus’ humility, as He treated His disciples equally with unconditional and radical love.

The Transfer of the Blessed Sacrament was also one of the main highlights of tonight’s mass. May our prayers be like an incense offered before Him.
