This month, we honor and celebrate the dedication, faith, and unwavering service of every altar server who faithfully answers God's call to serve at His holy altar.

Being an altar server is more than wearing a white cassock or assisting during the Holy Mass. It is a vocation of humility, discipline, sacrifice, and love. Behind every procession, every celebration of the Holy Eucharist, and every parish activity are young servants who willingly offer their time, talents, and hearts for the greater glory of God.

To all the Santa Cruz Parish Altar Servers, thank you for your commitment, perseverance, and joyful service. Your willingness to serve inspires our parish community and reminds us that true greatness is found in serving others with a sincere heart.

May this Altar Servers' Month strengthen your faith, deepen your love for Christ, and encourage you to continue living as faithful disciples both inside and outside the Church. Never forget that every act of service, no matter how small, is a beautiful offering to God.

May St. Tarcisius, the patron saint of altar servers, continue to guide and protect each one of you as you faithfully carry out your ministry.

The Diocesan Altar Servers Coordinating Council (DASCCO) convened a meeting on July 12 at Saint Joseph Cathedral, Butuan City, to continue the planning and preparation for the upcoming Diocesan Altar Servers Gathering. The meeting was presided over by DASCCO President James Paul Ong, who led the council in discussing key plans, coordinating responsibilities, and ensuring the successful implementation of the event. Through collaboration and shared commitment, the council continues to strengthen its mission of fostering unity, service, and spiritual growth among altar servers across the Diocese.

Today, our altar servers gathered for a meaningful and faith-filled Refresher Seminar 2026 at Santa Cruz Parish, Lingayao.

Through learning, fellowship, and prayer, we were reminded of our sacred mission to serve at the altar with humility, discipline, and love for God. May this experience continue to guide us as faithful servants in His ministry.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest speaker, Sem. Nathan Lloyd Osinaga, for sharing his time, wisdom, and inspiring message with our altar servers. Your guidance and encouragement have truly reminded us of the beauty and importance of serving God with faith and dedication. May the Lord continue to bless and guide you in your vocation.
