2026 MOVEABLE FEASTS

The traditional proclamation of moveable feasts during the Feast of the Epiphany is an ancient custom of the Church. It announces the dates of significant liturgical celebrations for the year ahead, connecting the faithful to the rhythm of the Church’s calendar. This proclamation highlights the unfolding of the Paschal Mystery through various feasts, beginning with Easter and extending to other solemnities and seasons.

Following our celebration of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the mercy of God, we joyfully announce the upcoming moveable feasts for the year 2026:

18 February – Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten season.
5 April – The Solemnity of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Easter), celebrating His Resurrection.
17 May – The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, marking His return to the Father.
24 May – The Solemnity of Pentecost, commemorating the descent of the Holy Spirit.
7 June – The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi), honoring the Eucharist.
29 November – The First Sunday of Advent, beginning the new liturgical year.

This proclamation not only keeps the faithful informed, but also invites them to prepare spiritually for these significant moments of grace.

✝️ Acts 19:11–12

“God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.”

Catholics call these second-class relics (objects touched by a saint that God uses as instruments of grace).

Anti-Catholics might call this idol worship.
But Scripture calls it a miracle.

The early Church recognized that God can work through physical things like water, oil, bread, wine, and cloth because God created the material world and uses it to reach us.

The power wasn’t in the cloth.
It was in God working through the cloth just as He worked through Moses’ staff, Elijah’s cloak, and even Peter’s shadow (Acts 5:15).

Catholics don’t worship relics. We venerate them as signs that point to God’s power and the holiness of His saints.

Everything begins and ends with Christ. 🙏

SALAMAT, PADRE! | The Feast of St. John Mary Vianney, patron saint of priests, is celebrated every August 4. The Sunday closest to it is considered St. John Mary Vianney's Sunday.

Let us take this opportunity to express our appreciation and gratitude to our dear priests.

We continue to pray for them - those in active service, those retired, and those who have gone to their heavenly home.
