This image shows the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ and how they each ended their earthly lives most of them as martyrs for the faith. It is a solemn reminder that the message of the Gospel was not carried by comfort, but by conviction and courage. Every apostle, except John, was killed for proclaiming the truth that Jesus Christ is Lord, risen from the dead, and the only Savior of mankind.

1. Peter — Crucified Upside Down

Peter felt unworthy to die the same way as his Lord, so he requested to be crucified upside down.

> John 21:18-19 (KJV): “...thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God.”
Peter glorified God even in death true humility and surrender.

2. Andrew — Crucified on an X-shaped Cross

Andrew preached boldly until his death on a cross shaped like an “X.”

> Matthew 4:19 (KJV): “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
He followed Christ literally to the end, fishing souls even through pain.

3. John — Died Naturally

John was the only apostle who died a natural death, though persecuted and exiled in Patmos where he wrote Revelation.

> Revelation 1:9 (KJV): “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation… was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God.”
Even in isolation, John remained faithful proof that faith endures even when alone.

4. James (the Greater) — Crucified

He was the first apostle martyred.

> Acts 12:2 (KJV): “And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.”
He was fearless, willing to lay down his life for the Savior he loved.

5. Philip — Crucified

Philip boldly preached Christ to hostile nations and was crucified for it.

> Philippians 1:21 (KJV): “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
Philip’s death shows that gain is not in gold, but in going home to Christ.

6. Bartholomew — Skinned Alive

Also called Nathanael, he was brutally martyred for refusing to renounce Jesus.

> John 1:49 (KJV): “Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.”
His early confession became his lifelong stand, even unto torture.

7. Thomas — Slain by a Spear

Thomas took the gospel as far as India and was speared for preaching Christ.

> John 20:28 (KJV): “And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”
He once doubted, but later declared with unshakable faith showing that even doubters can become heroes of faith.

8. Matthew — Killed by a Halberd

Matthew the tax collector turned evangelist died for spreading the gospel.

> Matthew 9:9 (KJV): “And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew... and he arose, and followed him.”
From a sinner to a saint a testimony that anyone can be transformed by Christ.

9. James (son of Alpheus) — Stoned to Death

He was thrown from the temple and then stoned for preaching.

> Acts 20:24 (KJV): “But none of these things move me... so that I might finish my course with joy.”
James finished with joy the mark of a true disciple.

10. Thaddeus (Jude) — Killed with Arrows

He continued preaching boldly until pierced by arrows.

> John 15:20 (KJV): “If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you.”
He stood firm, proving love for Christ is stronger than fear of death.

11. Simon the Zealot — Sawn in Half

Simon preached in dangerous lands and was sawn apart for his faith.

> Romans 8:18 (KJV): “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
He chose eternal glory over temporary suffering.

12. Matthias — Beheaded

Chosen to replace Judas Iscariot, Matthias died proclaiming the same Christ Judas betrayed.

> Acts 1:24-26 (KJV): “And they prayed... and they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias.”
He stepped into betrayal’s shadow and turned it into faith’s triumph.

Powerful Encouragement

The apostles remind us that faith is not proven in comfort but in conviction.
They suffered, but their message still lives Jesus Christ is Lord, risen, and reigning.
Every wound they endured was a testimony that truth is worth dying for because it came from the One who died and rose again.

> 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV):
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day…”

Let this truth encourage you your trials are not in vain.
The same God who sustained the apostles will also sustain you.
Your crown is being prepared, your faith is not forgotten, and your Savior is coming soon.

Leandro de Souza is a Brazilian man who gained fame as the "most tattooed man in Brazil," covering 95% of his body with ink, but is now undergoing painful, extensive laser removal after finding evangelical Christian faith and wanting his outside to reflect his inner transformation.

Truly, nothing is impossible with our Lord. When the power of God works in us, He can truly change us and give us the right path."

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We are all familiar with the Gospel story in which Mary is sitting at Jesus’ feet while her sister Martha does the cooking and cleaning. When Martha complains about the obvious, Jesus says, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better portion” (Luke 10:41-42).

That Gospel passage always bothered me! If Martha weren’t cooking and cleaning, no one would have eaten!

But if you think about it, Jesus didn’t say, “Martha, Martha, stop cooking.” He said, “Stop being anxious about many things.”

The Christmas season is full of hard work. In fact, sometimes we are so busy we end up snapping at the people we’re working hard to create a beautiful Christmas for! But Jesus is telling us “Don’t be busy. Be occupied.”

If there are a hundred things on your plate, make sure only one thing’s on your heart.

Be present to him in the moment. And all he wants from you in the moment is to be faithful to the task before you with love.

You can’t do everything at once, so stop attempting the impossible. Take it easy on yourself. Do the one thing, and do it well, listening to him all the while.

Lord, help me to BE like Mary when I have to WORK like Martha.

Felix Manalo (INC founder), an angel? Your church literally trying to force a man to be 'mentioned' in bible. Tell me why would we leave a 2,000 year old Catholicism just so we could join a 100 year old family-dynasty organization registered as a 'company' in the SEC?

This is a figurine of Fortuna, a pagan diety of fortune. Catholics must avoid at all cost to have this pagan image at their homes. Cases are reported that demonic oppressions happen to those who had this pagan image.
