June 13, 2025, Friday, 4:00 PM โ 6:00 PM | The Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish has celebrated their 9th Novena Mass in preparation for the 28th Annual Fiesta. The Holy Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Paul Intig, SSP, in which he provided us with his wisdom and grace-filled presence through his homily.
Fr. Paul reminded us to ๐ง๐ถ๐ญ๐ญ๐บ ๐ต๐ณ๐ถ๐ด๐ต ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ข๐ท๐ฆ ๐ง๐ข๐ช๐ต๐ฉ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ'๐ด ๐ธ๐ช๐ญ๐ญ, even with uncertainties, setting Mary as an example of such an act โ one who has completely surrendered her life in accordance with the Lord's will without question. Amid great ordeal and difficulties, she courageously took the divine task โ becoming the mother of Jesus. Through all the hardships, sacrifices, and suffering, she still persevered and continued to believe in the Lord even in the face of the unknown. Likewise, let us follow Mother Mary, a role-model and the perfect example of a servant of God, who showed us that
It was also on that day which marked the eve of the Fiesta Day, and in line with this, the devotees from far and wide, as well as the various ministries of the parish have joined together for the procession, marching the image of the parishโs very own patroness, Our Mother of Perpetual Help. Despite the unfavorable weather condition, such a disturbance did not hinder the flock of believers to push through this collective act of unwavering devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and her son, Jesus.
With solemn faces and filled with holy grace, the procession took its route: from Star Oil, to Babag II, to Radar, and back. Our young altar servers, along with the devotees, despite becoming drenched from the rain, whose vestments stained from dirt, and struck with fatigue, remained unfazed. Blessed and filled with determination and commitment, they eventually finished the procession with high spirits. Everyone celebrated and joyfully laughed, forgetting the predicament from earlier, showing their love and dedication towards serving God. In the end, everyone departed with smiles on their faces, carrying memories worth remembering.
โThe incense isnโt just a gimmick before the start of a Holy Mass โ it symbolizes the accumulated prayers of the faithful and the churchgoers during such a marvelous event โ the passion of Christ and His resurrection. The candles arenโt just there to add flashiness โ it signifies the light of Christ, a reminder of His constant presence in the Eucharistic celebration.โ
