Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, traditionally identified with Nathanael, who answered Jesus' call with a sincere and courageous faith.
When Philip invited him to "Come and see," Nathanael encountered Christ personally and proclaimed, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"
Though little is known about his life, Saint Bartholomew reminds the faithful that following Christ does not always require extraordinary deeds. A sincere heart, a personal relationship with Jesus, and a willingness to follow Him each day can be a powerful witness of faith.
May Saint Bartholomew inspire us to seek Christ, trust Him, and faithfully live out our calling in the ordinary moments of life.

Today, August 22, the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary is honored as Queen, not as a distant ruler, but as a loving and tender Mother who remains close to her children. Her Queenship is one of service, humility, and loving intercession, always leading the faithful closer to her Son, Jesus.

May Mary, Queen of Heaven and Queen of Peace, continue to guide, protect, and accompany us in our daily journey of faith.

As part of our Parish Anniversary Celebration, we warmly invite parishioners who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation to take this opportunity to complete their Christian initiation.

Today, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring the belief that Mary was taken body and soul into the glory of Heaven at the end of her earthly life.
Mary's Assumption is a sign of hope and a reminder of our own calling to eternal life with God. Through her Magnificat, she teaches the faithful to recognize God's goodness, trust in His promises, and remain attentive to those most in need.
As Mary already shares in the glory of Heaven, may her example inspire the faithful to journey through life with faith, hope, humility, and love, always keeping their hearts fixed on Christ.

𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐇𝐒𝐠𝐑π₯𝐒𝐠𝐑𝐭𝐬 | Parishioners of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish - Babag joined the Annual Celebration of San Roque Parish in Cordova, Cebu through a pilgrimage and Holy Mass. The Mass was presided over by our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Leonardo β€œJojo” Ocenar, MSC.
