IN PHOTOS: HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CELEBRATION OF OUR PATRONAL FEAST DAY 2026 OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES

With grateful hearts, we began the blessed celebration Led by our parish priest, Rev. Msgr. Ronie Julien P. Pillos at dawn with a solemn procession — walk with Mary, witnessing a beautiful expression of faith and devotion as the faithful gathered in unity. As the sun rose, so did our prayers and hopes, offered through the loving intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes.

The celebration continued with the Novena Prayers, where we lifted up our intentions, our personal struggles, our families, our community, and all those who are sick and in need of healing. It was a powerful reminder that in every trial we face, we are never alone.

The Holy Mass, presided over by Most Rev. Renato P. Mayugba and concelebrated by our beloved priests, became the heart of our celebration. Through the Eucharist, we were nourished spiritually and strengthened in faith. The homily encouraged us to remain steadfast in prayer, to entrust our burdens to Our Lady of Lourdes, and to always trust in God’s greater plan for our lives.

As we honor Our Lady of Lourdes, may we continue to seek her motherly guidance and intercession. In every problem, uncertainty, and challenge we encounter, may we hold firmly to our faith, believing that through Mary, we are led closer to her Son, Jesus Christ. Let us keep praying, keep trusting, and keep hoping, knowing that God’s grace is always at work in our lives.

you were pleased to make it a privileged sanctuary, whence you dispense your favours; and already many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal.

I come, therefore, with complete confidence to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, the grant of my requests. O COME, O COME, EMMANUEL!

As we prepare to celebrate the joyous Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we invite everyone to join us for the Simbang Gabi and Misa de Gallo masses. May this blessed season fill our hearts with hope, peace, and love.

Let us come together in prayer and thanksgiving during these special masses. Simbang Gabi, a cherished Filipino tradition, is a nine-day series of dawn masses leading up to Christmas Day, allowing us to prepare spiritually for the birth of Christ. Meanwhile, Misa de Gallo, held in the early morning, signifies our anticipation and joy for the coming of our Savior.

May we all experience the true spirit of Christmas through these celebrations and share in the warmth and light of Christ's love.

The Pope's Challenge to Young People: Be "Friends, Therefore Witnesses"

In his first message for Local World Youth Day, Pope Leo XIV addresses the youth with gratitude and a powerful charge based on the theme, "𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲 (𝗝𝗻 𝟭𝟱:𝟮𝟳)."

His Holiness highlights that true Christian witness is not ideological propaganda, but a spontaneous overflow of 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁. This friendship calls young people to:
𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻: Fulfill your deepest desires by going beyond yourselves, rather than "endlessly scrolling on our cell phones."
𝗕𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Like John the Baptist, point to Jesus without seeking the center stage.
𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲: Use fraternity and "political charity" to remove inequalities and reconcile divided communities.
