"𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗗'𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀."
— Proverbs 19:21 📖🤍
As human beings, we naturally make plans for our lives. We dream of receiving a promotion at work, building a successful business, finishing our studies, providing for our families, and accomplishing the goals we have set for ourselves. Planning is not wrong—in fact, wisdom often calls us to prepare for the future.
However, this verse gently reminds us of a greater truth: while we may have many plans in our hearts, it is ultimately the Lord's purpose that will stand. Our greatest desire should not simply be to see our own plans fulfilled, but to see God's will accomplished in our lives.
There are moments when we become so focused on our own ambitions that we forget to seek the Lord's direction. We rely on our own understanding, pursue our own desires, and make decisions apart from Him. Then, when things do not unfold as we expected, we may find ourselves disappointed, discouraged, or even questioning God. Yet often, what feels like a closed door is actually the loving hand of God redirecting us toward something far greater than we could have imagined.
King Solomon, the writer of Proverbs, reminds us that although we may have countless plans, dreams, and ambitions, it is God's purpose that ultimately prevails. His plans are never random, and His ways are never without reason. Even when we cannot understand His timing or His direction, we can trust that He is working all things according to His perfect wisdom and unfailing love. 🤍
This truth is beautifully echoed in
📖 Jeremiah 29:11:
"𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗜 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗗, 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲."
God's plans are always rooted in His goodness. They may not always align with our expectations, but they will always accomplish His perfect purpose. Sometimes His answer is "yes," sometimes it is "wait," and sometimes it is "no." Yet every answer He gives is an expression of His wisdom, His love, and His faithfulness. ✨
Today, let us surrender our plans to the Lord. Let us seek His wisdom before making decisions, trust Him when His answers differ from our desires, and remain faithful even when we cannot yet see the outcome. The safest place we can ever be is in the center of God's will.
May we choose to rely on Him more than on our own understanding, to pray before we act, and to follow wherever He leads. For the Lord's ways are always higher than our ways, and His purpose for our lives is far greater than anything we could ever plan for ourselves.
