3 Things to Remember During Hard Times

Introduction

Life is an unpredictable journey filled with ups and downs. At some point, we all face challenges that test our mettle, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable. In these trying moments, it’s essential to remember three powerful truths that can help you navigate the storm with resilience and grace. In this article, we’ll delve into these invaluable reminders.

1. Don’t Be Embarrassed by Your Struggles

It’s common to feel a sense of shame or embarrassment when dealing with difficult circumstances. Society often promotes the idea of perfection and achievement, leaving little room for acknowledging our struggles. However, it’s crucial to understand that struggling is a natural part of the human experience.

The truth is, we all face hardships, setbacks, and moments of doubt. These struggles are not signs of weakness, but rather opportunities for growth and learning. Embracing your challenges and acknowledging your vulnerabilities can be the first step towards overcoming them. Remember, it’s okay to seek help, share your difficulties with trusted friends or professionals, and be open about your struggles. In doing so, you not only free yourself from the burden of shame but also pave the way for healing and resilience.

2. Recognize that Every Person Has Undergone Hard Times

It’s easy to feel isolated and alone when faced with adversity. However, it’s important to remind yourself that you are not the only one going through tough times. Every person you encounter in life, from your closest friends to strangers passing by on the street, has faced their fair share of challenges.

Understanding this universal truth can foster empathy and connection. Sharing your experiences and listening to the stories of others can create a sense of unity and support. Remember, there’s strength in knowing that you’re not alone in your struggles, and many have walked a similar path and emerged stronger for it.

3. Always Remember You Are Stronger Than You Think

During hard times, it’s easy to underestimate your own strength and resilience. Yet, within you lies a wellspring of inner fortitude waiting to be tapped into. Consider all the obstacles you’ve already conquered in life. Reflect on the moments when you faced adversity head-on and emerged victorious.

Remind yourself that you possess the resilience to overcome your current challenges, too. Take a moment to acknowledge your past triumphs, no matter how small they may seem. Recognize the determination and courage that carried you through those moments. These qualities are still within you, ready to be harnessed to navigate your present difficulties.

Conclusion

Hard times are an inevitable part of life’s tapestry, but they need not define who you are. By embracing your struggles without shame, recognizing that everyone faces challenges, and always remembering your inner strength, you can find solace and resilience in even the toughest of moments.

In times of adversity, remember that your struggles do not diminish your worth; they shape you into a stronger, more empathetic, and resilient individual. Embrace the journey of growth that accompanies hardship, and trust in your ability to emerge from the storm stronger than ever before.

Just a reminder for those today who need extra reassurance:

It’s not your responsibility to feed the 5,000 and perform the miracle— your responsibility is to bring the 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish to Jesus… and then HE feeds the 5,000 and provides the miracle.

You may be in a situation right now where you need a miracle.

You’re overwhelmed, tired, lost, exhausted, sad, and frustrated. You don’t know what you’re going to do to feed your 5,000, and all you have are 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish.

God says to you today, “Perfect. That’s all I need. Bring me what you have, and I’ll provide the miracle.”

It’s never our responsibility to provide the miracle.

It’s always our responsibility to provide the effort.

Whether feeding your 5,000 means going back to school, providing for your family, being a single mom or dad, battling mental or physical illness, taking care of a loved one who is sick, dealing with grief, struggling with a faith crisis, seeking an answer to prayer, or just trying to make it one more day — Jesus understands.

He’s there.
He loves you.
He WANTS to provide the miracle for you.

Simply bring Him what you have, and He’ll multiply the remainder.

God bless!

Good Friday is the Friday preceding Easter Sunday and is the day Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross. We can celebrate on Good Friday because Christ's death was a sacrifice so that we could receive the gift of eternal life. The Bible tells us that Jesus bore our sins, shame, and burden on the cross (1 Peter 2:24 - He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.). The results changed the course of humanity and what man meant for evil through killing Jesus; God meant for good (Romans 5:6-10 - For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.)!

Isaiah 53:5 - But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

God bless everyone!
