Tangguyob Activity was a resounding success, exceeding all expectations, held at Nuestra Señora De La Paz Quasi Parish, led by Rev. Fr. Recz Clifford Cid.
Fr. Recz shared and focused on the true meaning of the Jubilee Year 2025. The expectations, the purpose, and the benefits of the theme "Pilgrims of Hope". The hope of the Catholics that encourages the world to undertake pilgrimages, both physically and spiritually, as a way to renew everyone's commitment to God, experience His mercy, and share hope with the world. This is the reason why we don't lose hope in our hearts. This special year, occurring every 25 years, offers a chance to reflect on reconciliation, pilgrimage, and returning home, with a focus on renewing oneself in the hope of Christ.
He also discussed the important keys of the Jubilee- the door wide open - a welcoming and an invitation "Uwi ka na. Di na ako galit" - a symbol of God's love and forgiveness; the pilgrimage- an individual's journey through life; the confession- acknowledging one's sins and shortcomings to God; the reconciliation- the restoration of the favor of God through Christ; and indulgence- as essential practice for fully embracing the grace and meaning of the Jubilee Year.
Through this event, the youth will grow closer to the Lord and strengthen their faith. Youth are the future of the church. It is essential for them to be resilient and navigate life's challenges with a strong spiritual foundation.
To Rev. Fr. Prim Cabanos, we extend our utmost gratitude for your unwavering guidance and support during your stay in our parish and for your inspiring homilies that truly touched the hearts of the parishioners especially of the youth. Your dedication has played a vital role in encouraging young people to draw closer to God and live out their faith more deeply.
We also sincerely thank Rev. fr. Recz Clifford Cid and the VOYA officers for their unending support in organizing the Tangguyob Activity for this year 2025. Your efforts and courage to make are very instrumental in making this event possible and successful.
On behalf of Rev. Fr. Prim Cabanos' closing message of this event, Mr. & Mrs. Raquel Agustin and Gene Agustin, gave the youth an inspirational message that encourages them to embrace their faith, find their purpose, and make a positive impact in the world. It should remind them that they are not too young to be used by God and that their youth is a strength, not a limitation. This is not the end to share the world the goodness of God but this is the beginning of everything.
