John 6:1-15 What can we learn about man and about God in the story?
About man:
- People will come to the Lord when they need miracles
- When there is a great need the mind of man calculates how to meet the need and see the limitation
- The mind of man looks at what is available when there is a great need and sees the insufficiency
- People have the tendency to make those who meet their needs king over them
About God:
- God wants His servants to rest and spend time with Him
- God always has a plan to meet needs before they happen
- God removes(breaks) the wrong mindsets of His servants before He performs miracle through them
- God can multiply what is available to meet whatever great a need. God is the God of multiplication.
- When God provides it is always beyond our needs so that we can bless others
- God blesses His servants through the overflow of His people
