Good morning, everyone.
I’m writing today still feeling the unease that comes after an earthquake. Even though we were not at the center, many of us felt the shaking yesterday. I pray that you and your families are safe. If you need help—whether it’s a place to stay, some assistance, or just someone to talk to—please reach out. We are family, and we care for each other.
Yesterday’s tremor reminded me of a few truths:
- Nothing is certain. Even strong foundations can be shaken. What feels solid can change in an instant.
- There is nowhere to hide. When the ground moves, no building can fully protect us.
- No one knows when. Earthquakes come without warning. Life is uncertain, and tomorrow is not guaranteed.
- No one can save us—but God has promised.
Romans 10:13 says, “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
When the earth shakes, our true foundation—Jesus Christ—remains firm. He is our refuge, our peace, and our salvation.
Let’s take time today to check on friends, especially those far from home. Let’s pray for those closer to the epicenter who may be struggling.
We will gather again soon to worship the God who holds even the shaking world in His hands.
Stay safe. I’m praying for you all.
In Christ,
Kuya Lloyd
