“The Seriousness of Sin,
The Power of the Blood”

Brothers and sisters,

Many people today treat sin lightly—but heaven does not.
Sin is not just a mistake; it is rebellion against a holy God.
The Bible says in Romans 6:23,
“For the wages of sin is death.”
That means sin always brings separation, judgment, and spiritual death.

From the Old Testament, God already showed a principle in Leviticus 17:11:
“It is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.”
Forgiveness is not free—it requires life.

But here’s the truth:
No animal sacrifice could fully remove sin.

No good works could cancel guilt.
No human effort could save us.
That’s why God sent His Son, Jesus Christ.

On the cross, Jesus did not just suffer—He substituted Himself for us.

He took our sin, our punishment, our judgment.
As Isaiah 53:5 says:
“He was pierced for our transgressions… and by His wounds we are healed.”

And Hebrews 9:22 reminds us:
“Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.”

Why did Jesus have to die?
Because sin is serious.
So serious that it required the blood of the perfect Son of God.

But here is the good news:
The same cross that shows how terrible our sin is…
also shows how great God’s love is.

Jesus paid it all.
The debt is finished.
Forgiveness is now available to everyone who believes.

So today, don’t take sin lightly—
but also don’t take the cross for granted.

# Turn from sin
# Trust in Christ
# Receive His forgiveness

Because the blood of Jesus is enough.
Amen.

WHY IS SO IMPORATANT CHURCH TO RECIEVED CORRECTION FROM OUR PASTORS OR FROM OUR ELDERS.. AND WHAT SHOULD BE THE ATTITUDE OF THE HEART WHEN SOMEONE CORRECTED US.

1. Receive Correction with Humility
A humble heart is willing to admit mistakes and learn.

Proverbs 15:31
“The ear that listens to life-giving rebuke will dwell among the wise.”

Meaning:
Those who humbly listen to correction grow in wisdom and spiritual maturity.

2. Receive Correction with Gratitude
Correction is a blessing because it helps us avoid sin and spiritual downfall.

Proverbs 28:23
“Whoever rebukes a person will in the end gain favor rather than one who has a flattering tongue.”

Meaning:
A person who corrects us is helping us become better, not hurting us.

3. Receive Correction with Self-Examination
Instead of becoming defensive, we should examine our hearts.

Psalm 139:23-24
“Search me, O God, and know my heart… see if there is any wicked way in me.”

Meaning:
Correction is an opportunity to reflect and allow God to change us.

4. Receive Correction with Obedience
Correction should lead to action and change, not just listening.

James 1:22
“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

Meaning:
When corrected, we must apply the lesson and change our behavior.

5. Receive Correction with Spiritual Maturity
Mature believers understand that discipline is part of God's love.

Hebrews 12:6
“The Lord disciplines the one He loves.”

Meaning:
Correction shows that God cares about our spiritual growth.

“Church, correction is not meant to destroy us but to develop us. A humble heart receives rebuke, examines itself, obeys the truth, and grows in righteousness. When we accept correction from our spiritual leaders, we allow God to shape us into the people He wants us to be.”

SHALLOM CHURCH.

Ecclesiastes 5:1 Be careful about going to the Temple. It is better to go there to learn than to offer sacrifices as foolish people do, people who don't know right from wrong.

Ecclesiastes 5:1 reminds us that when we come to the house of God, we must come with reverence, humility, and a ready heart to listen. God is not looking for empty rituals or outward actions—He is looking for hearts that truly seek Him.

When we gather in worship, let us not come casually, but come hungry to learn, ready to obey, and eager to hear the voice of the Lord. A listening heart pleases God more than many sacrifices.

Brethren, let us come to God’s presence with humility, listen to His Word, and allow it to transform our lives. Because when the church listens to God, revival begins in the hearts of His people.

Blessed day Church

Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”

Church, no matter what trials or struggles we face, let us hold firmly to our faith in God. The world may change, circumstances may shake us, but God never breaks His promises. What He has spoken over our lives, our families, and our church will surely come to pass.
Just as God remained faithful to His people throughout the Bible, He will also remain faithful to us today. So let us continue to pray, serve, love one another, and trust the Lord, because the God who promised is faithful to fulfill every word.
Shallom.

Job 23:10 says...

“Yet God knows every step I take; if He tests me, He will find me pure.”

This verse reminds us that God sees every step of our life, even when we go through suffering, confusion, or hardship. The trials we face are not meant to destroy us but to refine us like gold in fire. When God allows testing, it is an opportunity for our faith, character, and trust in Him to become stronger and purer.

Even if life feels difficult right now, remember that God knows your journey. Every struggle is shaping you. If you remain faithful, the end result will be a stronger, purer life that reflects God’s glory.

1 Peter 1:7 – Faith is tested like gold in fire so that it may be proved genuine.

James 1:12 – Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲…

It is a spiritual danger.

When prayer leaves,
strength leaves.

When prayer dies,
discernment weakens.

When prayer is neglected,
the soul slowly becomes vulnerable.

A church can have activity
and still be empty of power
if prayer is missing.

For Luke 18:1 says, Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

“Prayerlessness is a serious spiritual failure.”

You cannot stay spiritually strong
while living spiritually disconnected.

True faith is proven not when life is easy, but when life is painful. Faith that survives suffering is genuine faith.

James 1:12 – Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial.

Blessed day, Church.

Genesis 15:1 says...

“Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”

This passage reminds us that God Himself is our protection and our greatest blessing. Abram was facing uncertainty about his future, but God spoke to him and said, “Do not be afraid.” When God is our shield, we are protected from what we fear. When God is our reward, we already have the greatest treasure.

Even when life feels uncertain, do not be afraid. God stands as your shield in every battle and your reward beyond every blessing. When you have God, you already have more than enough.

Shallom
