✝️ Holy Monday Morning Prayer
March 30, 2026

Heavenly Father,
as we begin this new day in Holy Week,
I thank You for the gift of life
and for the love You continually show us.

Lord Jesus Christ,
as You walked the path toward the Cross
for our salvation,
help me to follow You with faith, humility, and trust.

Cleanse my heart from sin,
strengthen me in moments of weakness,
and guide my thoughts, words, and actions today.

May this Holy Week be a time of true conversion—
a time of prayer, sacrifice, and deeper love for You.

Help me to carry my daily crosses with patience
and unite them with Your suffering
for the salvation of the world.

Bless my family, my work, and all that I do today.
Lead me always closer to Your Sacred Heart.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen. 🙏✝️

Ang Holy Week ay hindi bakasyon. Ito ay paalala ng walang kapantay na pag-ibig—pag-ibig na handang magtiis, masaktan, at mag-alay ng buhay para sa atin. Sa gitna ng ingay ng mundo, nawa’y hindi natin makalimutan ang tunay na kahulugan ng mga araw na ito.
Hindi ito panahon para tumakas, kundi panahon para bumalik. Bumalik sa Diyos. Bumalik sa panalangin. Bumalik sa puso na marunong magpasalamat at magpakumbaba.

Sa bawat araw ng Holy Week, alalahanin natin ang sakripisyo ni Hesus—ang Kanyang hirap, ang Kanyang sugat, at ang Kanyang pag-ibig na hanggang ngayon ay patuloy na umaabot sa atin. Hindi Niya tayo iniwan, kaya huwag din nating iwan ang pagkakataong mapalapit sa Kanya.
Manahimik sandali. Magnilay. Magpatawad. Magbago.
Dahil ang Holy Week ay hindi lang isang tradisyon… ito ay imbitasyon—isang paanyaya na baguhin ang ating buhay at muling maranasan ang tunay na pag-ibig ng Diyos.

PASSIONTIDE BEGINS THIS SUNDAY

Passiontide marks a more intense and solemn phase within the season of Lent.

Traditionally, Passiontide starts on the Fifth Sunday of Lent, also known as Passion Sunday. From this point onward, the Church’s focus turns more directly to the suffering and impending death of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

During Passiontide, several notable changes occur in the liturgy and devotional life:

Images and statues are veiled in violet cloth, symbolizing the hidden glory of Christ and inviting deeper reflection.

The readings at Mass emphasize the growing tension between Jesus and His opponents, leading toward His Passion.

The faithful are encouraged to enter more deeply into prayer, penance, and meditation on Christ’s sacrifice.

This period prepares us more intensely for the events of Holy Week, which begins the following Sunday with Palm Sunday.

Spiritually, Passiontide invites us to “walk with Christ” in His suffering—pondering His love, His obedience to the Father, and the mystery of the Cross. It is a time to quiet distractions, deepen repentance, and renew our commitment to live according to the Gospel.

As Passiontide begins, it may help to ask: How can I accompany Christ more closely in His Passion?
