The Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente composing of 51 delegates coming from different Dioceses under the South Central Luzon Conference have gathered in worship and prayer during the 1st Regional Youth Convention held at Nuestra Seรฑora dela Asuncion Parish, Maragondon, Diocese of Cavite on September 1 to 3, 2023.
Guided by the theme,โ๐๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฟ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ, ๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ต, ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป,โ (John 10:16), the youth reflect in their role as faith bearers and their part in the society especially in lieu of the Iglesia Filipina Independienteโs rich heritage of being born out of the toiling massesโ struggle against โall forms of dehumanizationโ and toward emancipation, dignity, and sanctity of life.
In her effort to stay true to her heritage, the Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente, through this Regional Youth Convention scores the importance of the Constitution and Bylaws as our organizational manual โ to keep improving its ranks and to become loud voices for the anawim.
Our faith encourages us to be witnesses of Godโs deliverance to the least, the lost and the last. Jesus Christ did not limit his act of worship within the confines of the walls of the synagogue, instead, he went outside toward the outer walls of Jerusalem to look after those whom the society condemned, considered unclean, and even those who are declared beyond the saving grace of God. He did his miraculous deeds under the prying eyes of the authorities who would stop at nothing to deter Jesus from doing His mission. Despite the constant attacks against Jesus, he did not waver and continued to walk His talk. Worshipping God and acting as voices in our society is what Jesus taught and demonstrated to us. Therefore, we say what we have been saying all these years, โ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐๐, ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ!โ
We laud YIFI for her integrity and effort to stay true in her calling as she shouts, Tunay Maka-Diyos, Makabayan. Let us extend our worship and praise of our Lord in Eucharist inside the church towards becoming exemplary citizens of our country.
We urge the National Youth Organization to support initiatives that will nurture the Aglipayan spirit in every youth through massive education, consolidation, and mobilizations in various ministries.
We call on the rest of the IFI faithful to stand for our church and to never stray from her history.
It is within our prayers that the Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente continue as a living witness to Godโs love here on earth, and work with the rest of creation to take part in building a society where everyone, not just the few, enjoy the many gifts of the progress of civilization. Amen.
