The first-ever GIGS (Gentlemen In God's Service) is in the books!

More than 65 men from the different zones of the Philippines Luzon Highland District came together for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and learning as we seek to grow as men of God.

Through the message of Rev. Felicio Bayacsan from Ezra 7:6-10, we were reminded of four simple but important commitments:

✔ Keep on praying
✔ Keep on learning
✔ Keep on sharing
✔ Maintain a purity of life

In a world full of distractions, these reminders point us back to the habits that help us stay grounded in our faith and effective in our service.

We also celebrate the election of Bro. Gaspar Balingan as District GIGS Coordinator, together with Ptr. Tytus, Bro. Amor, and Bro. Jever as Zone Coordinators for Zones 1, 2, and 3, respectively. We pray for God's wisdom and guidance as they help lead this ministry forward.

A heartfelt thank you to the District NDI for organizing this meaningful gathering and creating a space where men across the district could connect, learn, and be encouraged.

As the first GIGS concludes, may the lessons learned not stay within the walls of the event but continue to be lived out in our homes, churches, workplaces, and communities.

Here's to more men growing together as Gentlemen In God's Service!

The 2nd Philippines Luzon Highland District Assembly concluded with hearts encouraged and faith renewed. Pastors and members from the four zones gathered under the theme “Gabay: Stay Blessed and Multiply.”

From the Spirit-filled message rooted in Ephesians, to the ordination of Pastor Emmanuel Mayona and Pastor Felicio Bayacsan, the prayer led by RD Kafoa Muaror over the pastors, and the reaffirmation of Rev. Sam Galino as District Superintendent, the Assembly was a reminder that true growth comes when we are led by the Holy Spirit. Guided by God, we move forward blessed and ready to multiply.

𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆

The 2nd Philippines Luzon Highland District Assembly was held on January 7, 2026, at Pico Church of the Nazarene, bringing together pastors and members from the four zones for a meaningful time of worship, reflection, and fellowship.

General Superintendent Christian Sarmiento served as Assembly chairperson, joined by Field Strategic Coordinator Arnel Pilliin and Asia-Pacific Regional Director Kafoa Muaror. Their presence was a source of encouragement as the district gathered in unity.

Throughout the Assembly, a clear message was emphasized that ministry must be rooted in the work of the Holy Spirit. Preaching from Ephesians 3:14–19, GS Sarmiento reminded the district that it is possible to have structure, activity, and constant doing without real transformation. He pointed to the Apostle Paul’s prayer, which focused not on what was visible, but on the strengthening of the inner being and the roots and foundation of faith.

This call to Spirit-led ministry was reflected in the ordination of Pastor Emmanuel Mayona and Pastor Felicio Bayacsan. The ordination was a joyful and sacred moment, affirming God’s calling on their lives and the district’s commitment to faithful service.

One of the most moving moments came when the pastors were invited forward. Instead of hearing individual reports, words of encouragement and gratitude were shared for their faithfulness in ministry. Asia-Pacific Regional Director Kafoa Muaror then led a time of prayer over the pastors, joined by GS Sarmiento and FSC Pilliin. This became a powerful expression of unity, affirmation, and shared calling.

The Assembly also included the District Superintendent election. Through a yes-no vote, Rev. Sam Galino was reaffirmed to serve another four-year term as District Superintendent, reflecting the continued trust of the district’s pastors and delegates.
