In the spirit of the Christmas season, Generous Agents Glorifying Almighty Yahweh (GAG-AY) in partnership with the ECALTI and individual sponsors have once again conducted on December 6, 2025 the "Give a Joy Project,โ a gift-giving outreach program aimed at bringing joy and cheer to the beneficiaries. The recipient this time were the students and teachers of Mabalite Elementary School and Mabalite National High School at Mabalite, Tadian, Mountain Province.
Recognizing that Christmas is a special time for children, this event sought to provide the receiving community with memorable gifts and a day full of cheers, reinforcing the values of generosity, community, and sharing that are central to Filipino culture, especially in the Cordillera region. The activity revolved around the theme, โReflecting Godโs Generosityโ which was based from the biblical text in James 1:17.
The school principal of Mabalite Elementary School, Sir Lester M. Hora, lead the community in warmly welcoming the GAG-AY team with their messages, presentations, and sumptuous local delicacies. There were 76 Elementary learners and 41 Junior High School learners who received their individual gifts. Lots of game prizes were also handed to the children, parents, guardians and teachers who attended the occasion. This project was done in just a day, but the organizers are hopeful that its spirit will continue to live on as the beneficiaries may also one day become the sponsors of the same cause.
Beyond these material blessings, this gathering was also an avenue to share the Word of God. GAG-AY President Charles Gawidan said in his message, "As we reflect during this Advent season and celebrate the goodness of God this coming Christmas season, may we be reminded of our Christian responsibilities of having constant prayer, reading the Bible, worshipping regularly, and going out to share the Gospel. As we live being the image of God, we continue to reflect His generosity and character."
Added to the experience, it was noticeable how the community are so patient to traverse a rough and winding road as they continue to live a simple and honest way of living.
GAG-AY give back all the glory to our Almighty Father who keeps on sustaining the group, providing their needs, and leading it to the right people to lift our spirit in doing our vow.
N.B. We are grateful to all the sponsors and donors who have shared their blessings for this cause.
