Mother's Day - a very special day for our "ilaw ng tahanan", the bearers of hope. A day to commemorate our dear mama, mommy, inay, etc. We may call our mothers by different names, but they are built similarly. They may be strict and scary, but at the same time, they are loving and soft. They are the ones who have taken care of us since time immemorial and have taught us about life. They do everything for their children.

Together with the Youth Ministry of Sacred Heart Parish, pocket mirrors were given to our dear mothers. Beauty is subjective, but they possess the most beautiful one.

Thank you, Lord, for Mothers and those who stood as mothers for us. Ma, I love you so much!

On a quiet, starry night in Bethlehem, Mary and Joseph, with hearts full of faith and love, welcomed the newborn Savior into the world. In the humblest of settings, simple manger, lay the greatest gift humanity would ever receive. The birth of Christ, a symbol of hope, peace, and unconditional love, changed the course of history and brought light to a world in need of grace. Surrounded by angels and shepherds, the promise of salvation began in the most unexpected way, reminding us that even in the smallest, humblest moments, divine miracles unfold.

Under the quiet glow of a guiding star, the three kings set out on a long and faithful journey, crossing deserts and kingdoms in search of a newborn King. They arrived not at a palace, but at a humble manger, where Mary cradled the Christ Child, the fulfillment of God’s promise to the world. With hearts full of awe, they knelt in worship and offered their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, honoring a Savior whose birth brought light, peace, and hope to all humanity. Guided by faith, their journey reminds us that even the greatest come humbly before Christ, who entered the world to bring love and salvation to all. ✨

The shepherds, watching their flocks by night, were chosen to be the first witnesses of Christ’s birth, showing that God reveals His glory to the humble and faithful. As angels filled the sky with praise, they received the joyful news of a Savior born in Bethlehem. With eager hearts, they went to see the child and spread the message, becoming simple yet powerful messengers of God’s great gift to the world.

4/8 | KING HEROD

King Herod, a ruler known for his ambition and ruthlessness, plays a pivotal role in the biblical story of the birth of Christ. When the 'King of the Jews' was foretold to be born, Herod, deeply paranoid about losing his throne, saw Jesus as a threat to his power. In a desperate and cruel attempt to eliminate the child, he ordered the Massacre of the Innocents, where all male children under the age of two in Bethlehem were killed. Despite Herod’s violent efforts, the newborn Jesus was spared, fulfilling the prophecy and marking the beginning of a new era in history. Herod's actions, driven by fear and desire for control, contrast sharply with the humble and peaceful birth of Christ, forever linking the two figures in the narrative of salvation and tyranny.
